Product Manager (Payments)

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join Salmon’s Payments team in building and optimizing the domestic payment infrastructure that powers our credit and lending products. You’ll collaborate across compliance, engineering, operations, and finance to deliver seamless, scalable, and compliant payment experiences — covering repayments, merchant disbursements, bill payments, QR, auto-debit, and other payment flows.

Your goal will be to launch and scale payment features and flows that reduce payment costs, improve service quality, and minimize operational overhead — while ensuring a superior customer payment experience.

The position involves being and working most of the time in Manila. We help with relocation, finding housing and other things to make your move as comfortable as possible.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design, delivery, and optimization of domestic payment features and flows across credit and lending operations.

• Define priorities, success metrics, and implementation plans aligned with business and operational goals.

• Partner with compliance, risk, treasury, operations, and engineering to ensure efficient and compliant payment execution.

• Drive integrations with banks, local payment systems, e-wallets, and payment partners for disbursements, repayments, and collections.

• Improve payment performance, reliability, and cost efficiency through data-driven analysis and continuous iteration.

• Continuously enhance the customer and merchant payment experience with faster, simpler, and more transparent solutions.

What We Expect from Candidate

• 3+ years of product management experience in fintech, payments, or credit products, with a track record of launching and scaling domestic payment systems in regulated markets.

• Strong understanding of local payment ecosystems — including bank transfers, e-wallets, QR payments, and bill payments — and related flows such as disbursement, repayment, settlement, and reconciliation.

• Deep understanding of payment processing and related flows such as authorization, settlement, and reconciliation.

• Experience working with risk, compliance, and collections teams (KYC, AML, delinquency management).

• Technical fluency in APIs, payment gateways, and backend financial infrastructure.

• Analytical and data-driven mindset focused on optimizing payment performance, cost, and operational efficiency.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business teams.
