Product Manager (CPaaS / Voice / VoIP)

We are building a communication platform that brings together SMS, Voice, and marketing tools for businesses. We are now launching a new VoIP direction — A2P Voice, callback services, and multichannel routing. We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the creation and launch of our Voice (CPaaS) product. You will own the product from discovery to market launch and scaling, working closely with engineering, telecom operators, sales, and customers. This role requires a strong understanding of VoIP/telecom infrastructure, CPaaS business models, routing, billing, and voice traffic economics.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Vision

    • Define the product vision and roadmap for the Voice / VoIP direction.

    • Identify market opportunities in A2P Voice, callback services, and multichannel routing.

    • Analyze competitors such as Twilio, Telnyx, Vonage, and Infobip and define differentiation strategy.

    • Define positioning, pricing models, and go-to-market strategy.

  • Product Development & Execution

    • Form product requirements for SIP/VoIP infrastructure (OpenSIPS/Kamailio/Asterisk/FreeSWITCH-based stack).

    • Translate telecom business requirements (routing, QoS, failover, billing logic) into clear PRDs.

    • Prioritize backlog based on business value, revenue impact, and technical complexity.

    • Work closely with engineering on routing logic, API flows, billing, and monitoring tools.

  • Traffic & Monetization Management

    • Define routing strategy: LCR, failover logic, quality optimization (ASR/ACD/PDD).

    • Build pricing and billing models: rating logic, tariff models, margin control.

    • Monitor traffic performance and define KPIs for quality, stability, and profitability.

    • Identify fraud risks and traffic anomalies, work with engineering on prevention mechanisms.

  • Customer & Market Focus

    • Conduct customer discovery with aggregators, enterprise clients, and resellers.

    • Define API products and integration flows for clients.

    • Gather feedback and iterate quickly on product-market fit.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership

    • Align product development with sales, finance, and operations.

    • Support launch, documentation, and internal enablement.

    • Own product P&L for the Voice direction.

Requirements

  • 3–6+ years of Product Management experience in telecom, VoIP, CPaaS, or related infrastructure products.

  • Strong understanding of SIP, RTP, routing logic, and VoIP architecture principles.

  • Experience working with telecom operators and traffic routing.

  • Experience building billing/rating logic and pricing models.

  • Experience launching infrastructure or API-based products from scratch.

  • Ability to balance business, technical, and operational perspectives.

  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making.

Nice to Have

  • Experience launching A2P Voice or international VoIP products.

  • Background in CPaaS platforms similar to Twilio, Telnyx, Vonage, or Infobip.

  • Knowledge of voice fraud prevention techniques.

  • Experience with routing & billing platforms like Alaris.

  • Understanding of Voice Analytics, transcription, and speech technologies.

  • Technical background in telecom or software engineering.
