Product Designer (Ultimate Guitar)

As a Product Designer at Ultimate Guitar, you will be an integral part of the product team, contributing to every stage of the design process—from forming the backlog and setting tasks to deploying in production and analyzing results. This role offers a dynamic and engaging environment where collaboration and creativity are key.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the product team:

  1. Engage in every stage of the design process.
  2. Form the backlog and set tasks.
  3. Deploy designs in production and analyze results.
  4. Ensure a dynamic and engaging workflow.

Collaborate with different teams:

  1. Work within different streams to provide a cohesive user experience.
  2. Partner with designers from various teams to enhance product consistency.

Impact the entire product:

Contribute to the overall improvement of the product.

Influence all aspects of the mobile app and web, not limited to specific features or screens.

Ensure your designs provide a complete user experience across the platform.


Required Experience:

  1. At least 3 years of experience working in cross-functional product teams, with an understanding of their structure and processes.
  2. Ability to present and discuss a portfolio with relevant case studies.
  3. Proactively seek data, ask the right questions, study analytics, and engage with the right people to design effective solutions.
  4. Enjoy working with fellow designers and other roles, and be skilled in giving and receiving feedback.
  5. Ability to see the broader picture beyond individual tasks.
  6. Prioritize solving user problems through interface design, followed by making it visually appealing.
  7. Understand when and how to test your solutions and simplify them for smoother development and implementation.
  8. At least an upper-intermediate level of English.
  9. No matter how professional, you love to play and have been playing guitar at least 1 year and playing it now.

Technical Skills:

  1. Proficiency with Figma and prototyping tools.
  2. Experience with design systems.
  3. Ability to work with analytics and UX research.
