Product Analyst (Search & Recommendations)
We are looking for a Senior Product Analyst to join our Search & Recommendations team – is one of the core product surfaces: it directly determines whether users find what they came for and whether they return.
You will act as a Product Analyst within the “Search & Recommendations” domain, working closely with ML engineers, software developers, and product managers. You will be supported by a strong analytics team that you can tap into for complex challenges, as well as a sophisticated internal tooling stack: an in-house A/B experimentation platform, a proprietary conversational analytics tool, a suite of MCPs and AI agents for routine workflows, high-quality data in BigQuery and Spark, and a transparent ETL pipeline built with Airflow and dbt.
This role is for someone who wants to be an owner of metrics and a driver of decisions within the domain: rethinking what “good search” means for us (from relevance to search success), independently uncovering insights and driving ideas all the way to production.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a hierarchy of product metrics for Search & Recommendations (ensuring they are accurate, clearly understood by the team, and truly reflect product quality)
Design, launch, and interpret A/B tests; improve tooling and automation around experiment analysis
Conduct product research (identify growth opportunities, answer high-level questions, and formulate hypotheses for the team)
Analyze user behavior patterns and independently uncover insights that are meaningful for the product
Influence goal setting and project prioritization within the team based on data
Develop self-service capabilities in the domain (structure data to make it easily usable by AI tools, and automate routine analysis so the team can independently answer basic questions)
Requirements
Strong knowledge of mathematical statistics and hands-on experience with A/B testing
Strong SQL skills and basic Python proficiency
AI-native mindset: you automate your own workflows using AI and are ready to building pipelines and agents
Ability to solve non-trivial problems under conditions of incomplete data
Curiosity and a habit of asking the right questions (probing what lies behind a metric and not being afraid to challenge the team)
Proactivity and ready to take ownership (choosing which metrics matter, where the product should evolve and which hypothesis to test next)
Strong attention to detail and a habit of following through to completion
Preferred
Experience in search, recommendations, ML-driven products, or e-commerce
Nnderstanding of ML fundamentals
Experience building AI pipelines and agents
We offer
Compensation package: base salary and performance-based bonuses
Office-first: flexible hours with a possibility to work remotely 52 days per year
Care & Wellbeing: health insurance (including dental care) for employees and their children, daily meal allowance, and 100% paid sick leave
Relocation Support: full assistance for a smooth relocation for the employees and their family
Team & Growth: collaboration with colleagues across Portugal, Brazil, Latvia and China, with opportunities for promotions, professional trainings, and English & Portuguese courses
Community & Engagement: annual team building activities, knowledge-sharing workshops, and a strong sense of team work
