Legal Counsel (IP, Privacy )

Now we are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel (Privacy and IP) to join our legal team to identify compliance requirements, understand what's possible, propose solutions that balance legal safety and business needs, and own the implementation.

Responsibilities

• Driving GDPR compliance by ensuring accountability practices are in place, conducting LIAs and DPIAs, and managing data subject requests

• Identifying, assessing, and solving privacy risks in new products and features across jurisdictions; proposing solutions, not just naming requirements

• Navigating new and evolving processing activities and relationships: identifying the applicable legal requirements, and translating them into the right product / contractual requirements

• Addressing trademark and copyright infringement in merchant-uploaded content, and responding to trademark and copyright complaints; supporting trademark registration.

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating DPAs, licensing arrangements, and other IP and data protection instruments

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on legal experience covering both privacy and intellectual property

• Practical GDPR expertise, including preparing RoPAs and LIAs, handling DSARs, and reviewing and negotiating DPAs

• Practical trademark and copyright experience, particularly with infringing content, takedowns, and enforcement workflows

• Experience supporting e-commerce, digital platforms, or other online businesses

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to turn legal requirements into practical, business-oriented solutions

• Ability to assess legal questions in context, balancing regulatory requirements, product realities, and enforcement practices

• Ability to work effectively across multiple products and jurisdictions and quickly develop expertise in unfamiliar areas

• Professional working proficiency in English, including legal drafting and negotiations, at C1 level

• Experience using AI tools in legal work, with a clear understanding of their limitations and the need for professional review

Preferred

• Background in private law

• Experience working in an international product or technology company

• IP experience involving the intermediary role of marketplaces or other online platforms

• Experience handling Temporary Restraining Orders (TROs), particularly in IP infringement matters
