4500 - 5500 EUR

Lyser is a management-owned, Copenhagen-based company building two B2B SaaS products for HR teams in large enterprises. We have no VC influence, operate with positive cash flow, and have been in active operation for over 5 years. This is a stable business focused on long-term product quality rather than growth-at-all-costs.

We are a tiny, fully remote team. Engineering is distributed, all collaboration happens via Microsoft Teams, and we value autonomy, trust and clear communication over process.

We’re looking for a Senior PHP Engineer who is comfortable owning production systems and wants hands-on experience building LLM-powered features that are used by real customers.

Tech stack & environment

  • Laravel (modern PHP, service-oriented architecture)

  • Livewire, Filament and AlpineJS (backend-powered, admin-heavy, data-driven UIs)

  • MySQL, Redis

  • Queues, background jobs and scheduled tasks

  • APIs and integrations with external systems

  • LLMs: public APIs and in-house trained models

  • Mature production systems with real customers and real data

What you’ll do

  • Active development and maintenance of two B2B products in recruitment space: Lyser https://lyser.com and Develop Diverse https://developdiverse.com.

  • Design, implement, and maintain backend-heavy features in Laravel

  • Build and operate LLM-powered workflows in production

  • Integrate third-party LLM APIs and internal models

  • Make architectural decisions around performance, reliability, and maintainability

  • Improve existing code where it makes sense (pragmatic refactoring)

  • Own features end-to-end: requirements -> implementation -> production -> iteration

  • Work directly with the Head of Engineering and management

Requirements

  • Several years of production Laravel experience

  • Writing clean, testable, maintainable PHP

  • Understanding architectural trade-offs and explaining them clearly

  • Working with asynchronous systems (queues, retries, failures)

  • Debugging and operating real production systems

Basic knowledge of JavaScript and JS frameworks

  • Working independently in a small, remote team

  • Clear communication in written and spoken English

Working time overlap with Central European Time (Copenhagen)

We offer

  • 100% Remote work Full-time (or from our office in Copenhagen, Denmark)

  • Flexible working time

  • 37 hours work week

  • 5 weeks paid vacation + public holidays

  • Paid sick leave

  • Scandinavian working culture

  • Stable, profitable, management-owned product company with no VC influence

  • High ownership and direct impact on product direction

Payment in DKK, EUR or crypto

  • Real production work with LLMs

  • Minimal meetings and long-term collaboration

54000 - 66000 EUR annual compensation

How to apply

Send:

  • A short introduction

  • CV

  • Links to relevant work (GitHub, portfolio or similar)

Interview process

We keep it simple and respectful of your time:

  1. One technical & product-focused interview with the Head of Engineering

  2. One conversation with someone from the management team

No take-home assignments and no extended interview loops.
