Node.js Developer

We're building three distinct mobile products and looking for a Node.js developer to build out their backend systems from the ground up. We're hiring developers to complete all three projects together.

The Products

Stakefair

A match-making platform for competitive matchups — Hip-Hop freestyle battles, chess, Dota 2, Mobile Legends, custom tournaments, and more. Players can stake before a match, and the winner takes the combined stake once a winner is decided.

Flare

A geofenced, time-boxed dating layer. Anyone or any venue can "light a flare" over a place — a bar, a park, an event — for a set window, letting nearby people match and chat with whoever's actually there, right now.

SIV

A premium, gated content platform for creators and communities with something worth charging for. Built for content people pay to see.

What you'll do

• Design and build scalable backend APIs and services using NestJS for all three products.

• Build core systems across all three products: matchmaking, staking, and payout logic (Stakefair); real-time geofencing and live matching (Flare); content gating, subscriptions, and creator/subscriber payment flows (SIV).

• Architect a modular NestJS backend (shared modules/services) while allowing each product its own data models and business logic.

• Implement real-time features (matchmaking, live location-based matching, chat) using WebSockets/Gateways (NestJS's built-in WebSocket support or Socket.io).

• Integrate payment/staking systems, ensuring secure handling of transactions and payouts.

• Design and manage databases (SQL/NoSQL) using ORMs like TypeORM or Prisma within NestJS.

• Collaborate closely with product, design, and mobile dev teams through iteration.

What we're looking for

• Strong portfolio/experience with Node.js and NestJS backend development.

• Solid understanding of NestJS architecture — modules, providers, controllers, guards, interceptors, dependency injection.

• Experience building real-time systems (NestJS Gateways, WebSockets, Socket.io, or similar).

• Experience with payment integrations, escrow-style staking logic, or transactional systems a plus.

• Familiarity with geolocation-based features a plus.

• Experience with database design (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) and ORMs (TypeORM, Prisma, or Mongoose).

• Understanding of API security, authentication (JWT/OAuth, Passport.js), and scalable microservice or modular monolith architecture.

• Comfort with TypeScript, since NestJS is TypeScript-first.

• Ability to work across multiple products and adapt to different technical requirements.

• Self-starter who can deliver independently on a project timeline.
