Network Engineer
We are looking for a Network Engineer. All positions are fully remote (from anywhere in the world, except Russia and Belarus).
Responsibilities
Network Implementation:
Perform greenfield and brownfield network deployments.
Configure and install a variety of network devices and services.
Configure and support network monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana, PRTG).
Network Maintenance:
Perform regular network monitoring to ensure optimal performance.
Handle and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
Open and manage service requests with vendors and service providers.
Maintain up-to-date network inventory.
Automate routine operations to improve efficiency.
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
Diagnose and resolve network-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring problems.
Provide on-call support for critical network emergencies.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with system administrators, security teams, and other IT staff to ensure seamless integration of systems and network components.
Engage with vendors to evaluate new products, technologies, and solutions aligned with business needs.
On-call Support:
Respond within 15 minutes to on-call alerts, assess the situation, and take necessary steps to minimize business impact.
Requirements
Experience: 5+ years as a Network Engineer.
Certifications: CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent level of expertise.
Strong knowledge of routing protocols, data center networking, and network architecture.
Hard Skills:
Cisco Equipment: Hands-on experience with Catalyst, Nexus, and Firepower series.
Networking Protocols: VXLAN EVPN, Firepower/ASA, BGP, OSPF, MSTP/RSTP, GRE, L2TP, IPSEC, LACP, vPC.
Operating Systems: Networking in Linux, Hyper-V, VMware environments.
Automation: Python, Ansible (network process automation).
Cloud Networking: AWS, Azure, GCP integration with on-prem networks.
Monitoring: Zabbix (templates, maps, triggers), Grafana, PRTG, NetBox.
Troubleshooting Tools: iPerf, tcpdump, Wireshark, mtr, traceroute, nmap.
Soft Skills
English at least B1 level.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
High emotional intelligence, calm under pressure.
