Long-term modernization program for a global investment management leader.
The team is rebuilding a legacy risk-metrics platform and migrating it to a modern solution based on ClickHouse + AWS.
The system provides low-latency access to portfolio risk data used by portfolio managers, risk officers, and analysts worldwide.
What you will do:
Work on backend components in .NET (C#) as part of an active build-and-rewrite phase
Migrate risk-metrics storage to ClickHouse on AWS, replacing legacy logic with scalable services
Run and test services locally, compare outputs with the legacy system, ensure correctness
Collaborate with globally distributed engineering, UI, and reporting teams
Gradually build a deep understanding of the business and risk domain
Tech stack:
.NET (C#), ClickHouse, AWS, Git/GitHub, Unix-based systems, NoSQL/column-oriented databases
Requirements:
5+ years of experience with .NET / C#
Strong engineering fundamentals (data structures, collections, multithreading basics, async/await, service communication patterns)
Experience building and supporting backend services in production
Practical experience with Git/GitHub and standard workflows (PRs, code review)
Ability to work with incomplete specifications, show ownership, and drive tasks independently
Comfortable working with distributed teams and occasional late-evening calls
Nice to have:
Experience with AWS (CDK/SDK or similar tooling)
Basic experience with Unix-based systems (shell, processes, logs)
Familiarity with NoSQL/column-oriented DBs; ClickHouse is a big plus
Ability to read basic Python or Java code
Ability to read and understand SQL scripts
