About the project:

Development and evolution of a mission-critical, enterprise-level Scholarship Management System built for one of the largest state-owned oil and gas enterprises in the Middle East.

This custom in-house platform automates the end-to-end lifecycle of the company’s educational and scholarship programs. It streamlines daily operations for around 200 internal users, including HR/Academic Officers, Finance specialists, and Administrators, ensuring smooth workflows from candidate selection and onboarding to graduation.

Your Responsibilities at Aristek Systems:

• Provide L2/L3 application support, investigate complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution of incidents.

• Maintain and support existing web applications by fixing bugs, improving stability, performance, and overall system reliability.

• Implement small to medium enhancements and functional improvements based on business requirements while minimizing impact on existing functionality.

• Develop new features across the application stack using C#, .NET 8 / ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and SQL Server.

• Contribute to the evolution of the existing codebase by refactoring legacy components, improving code quality, and supporting the migration from older technologies to modern .NET solutions.

• Support security-related improvements by addressing vulnerabilities and implementing secure coding practices.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure reliable and maintainable software releases.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 4+ years of professional web development experience.

• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET 8 / .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core Web API.

• Extensive experience with ASP.NET MVC 5, older versions of Entity Framework, and LINQ is a major advantage, as it is essential for supporting and migration of the core system.

• Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server (database design, performance tuning, and query optimization).

• Good working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.

Cybersecurity & Application Security:

• Vulnerability Management: Solid understanding of CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) and secure coding practices.

• Hands-on awareness and mitigation experience with key security threats:

• SQL Injection

• Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)

• Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)

• Authentication Brute Force

• Session Hijacking

• Parameter Manipulation

• Memory Corruption issues (including Buffer Overflow and Use-After-Free)”
