About the product:
Finonex is a company building modern mobile trading and financial applications across multiple brands from a shared Flutter codebase. The team focuses on creating accessible, secure, and user-friendly trading experiences powered by cutting-edge technology, supported by 24/7 service.
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Tech Lead (Flutter) to take a leading role in the design, development, and evolution of our mobile trading applications.
This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership. You will drive architectural decisions, own the mobile release lifecycle, set engineering standards, and mentor the team. In the same time, it is a senior individual-contributor leadership position: you set the technical bar and make the hard calls, while staying close enough to the code to remain credible.
The ideal candidate is passionate about software quality, enjoys complex technical challenges, and balances long-term architectural goals with business needs - comfortably, in a fast-moving, regulated financial environment.
Please note that candidates for this position are expected to work in alignment with the Israeli team: Sunday-Thursday — work days, Friday-Saturday — days off.
Warsaw, hybrid (2-3 days from the office)
Technical Leadership
Own the technical architecture of a multi-brand, multi-flavor Flutter application serving regulated trading products.
Drive architectural decisions with a focus on scalability, maintainability, performance, and reliability.
Establish and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes.
Conduct code reviews and uphold high standards of code quality across the team.
Identify technical risks and propose practical solutions.
Software Development & Release Engineering
Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality applications for Android and iOS.
Own the mobile release lifecycle end-to-end - multi-flavor build pipelines, signing, staged/phased rollouts, and store deployment on Google Play and the App Store.
Lead complex integrations: real-time market data, charting, analytics, attribution, and third-party financial SDKs.
Troubleshoot complex production issues and support releases when necessary.
Continuously improve application performance, stability, and user experience.
Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and DevOps to deliver business objectives.
Reliability, Observability & Security
Own mobile observability and reliability - performance, crash-free rates, and the metrics that matter for a trading app.
Lead security and compliance work in a regulated environment, including penetration-test remediation and privacy/data-residency requirements.
Mentorship & Team Development
Mentor and support developers across experience levels.
Share knowledge through technical discussions, design reviews, and pair programming.
Help onboard new team members and contribute to a strong engineering culture.
Manage technical relationships with external vendors and SDK partners.
Process Improvement
Improve development workflows, testing strategies, and release processes.
Promote automation and efficient engineering practices.
Support predictable delivery through accurate estimation and risk assessment.
Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing.
7+ years of professional software development experience.
5+ years of hands-on Flutter development on large-scale production applications.
Proven experience leading technical initiatives or owning architecture for a real product.
Strong command of multi-flavor / multi-environment Flutter architecture, state management, and Dart.
Hands-on experience with native Android and iOS - build configuration, signing, and platform-channel/SDK integration.
Experience with CI/CD for mobile and automated release pipelines (GitLab CI or equivalent).
Solid experience with REST APIs and real-time communication (WebSocket/SignalR or similar).
Experience shipping through Google Play and the App Store, including staged rollouts.
Strong ownership, autonomy, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal English - a must (daily communication with the Israel-based team).
Availability to work Sunday-Thursday, aligned with the Israeli team - a must.
Experience in fintech, trading, forex/CFD, financial services, or another regulated industry.
Experience with state management solutions (BLoC, Riverpod, or Provider).
Experience with the Firebase suite (Crashlytics, Remote Config, Performance, Analytics).
Experience with product analytics/experimentation (e.g. Mixpanel) and attribution (e.g. AppsFlyer).
Experience with charting libraries (e.g. ChartIQ) and engagement SDKs (e.g. Braze).
Experience with mobile observability / golden-signal monitoring and data export (e.g. BigQuery).
Experience with security/pentest remediation and OWASP Mobile standards.
Familiarity with FVM, monorepo workflows, automated/integration testing, and CI/CD.
Experience with distributed/international teams and AI-assisted development tools.
