Mobile Software Engineer (Android & iOS)

We are looking for a Mobile Software Engineer to help maintain and evolve our native Android and iOS applications. This role is ideal for developers with 1–3 years of experience who are eager to learn, enjoy mobile development, and embrace AI-assisted engineering practices. At Aloware, AI is part of our daily engineering workflow. Every engineer uses Claude Code Max to accelerate development, improve code quality, and increase productivity.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and enhance our native Android and iOS applications.

• Implement bug fixes, performance improvements, and new product features.

• Integrate mobile applications with backend APIs built in Laravel/PHP.

• Work with real-time communication technologies such as Twilio Voice, Socket.IO, Pusher, and Soketi.

• Develop features related to telephony, VoIP, push notifications, and real-time events.

• Participate in the mobile release lifecycle, including deployments to the App Store and Google Play.

• Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, designers, and QA teams.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.

• Use Claude Code Max and AI-assisted development tools as part of your daily workflow.

• Contribute to improving code quality, documentation, and engineering processes.

What We're Looking For

• 1–3 years of professional software development experience.

• Experience developing native mobile applications for Android and/or iOS.

• Familiarity with:

  • Android development using Kotlin and/or Java.

  • iOS development using Swift.

  • REST APIs and mobile-backend integrations.

  • Git and collaborative development workflows.

  • Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex mobile issues.

  • Strong communication skills in English.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.

  • Interest in leveraging AI tools to improve engineering productivity.

  • A growth mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.

Nice to Have

• Twilio Voice SDK or telephony applications.

• VoIP technologies such as CallKit, PushKit, Android Telecom Framework, or WebRTC.

• Real-time systems using Pusher, Soketi, WebSockets, or Socket.IO.

• Firebase (FCM, Crashlytics, Analytics, Remote Config).

• UIKit, SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, or Material Design.

• Architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, or Coordinators.

• Dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt.

• Networking libraries including Alamofire, Retrofit, or OkHttp.

• CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Fastlane.

• Mobile app distribution through TestFlight, Firebase App Distribution, App Store Connect, and Google Play.

• Monitoring tools such as Sentry.

• Jira and Agile development practices.
