Middle Data Analyst

We’re building Stepmania, a Telegram Mini App that turns walking and social interaction into fun and shared experiences. Our app rewards users with in-app currency for daily activity, lets them play casual games, compete in friendly challenges, and connect with friends. We’re creating a lightweight, engaging consumer product aimed at becoming one of the most-used social apps on Telegram.

We are looking for someone who can help us create not just a seamless and functional product, but one that's bold, vibrant and deeply emotional.

We are looking for a Middle-level Data Analyst with strong experience in startups and product launches, preferably in the gaming industry. This role focuses on supporting seasonal and smaller-scale product initiatives, building dashboards, tracking KPIs, and providing actionable insights to drive product growth. The ideal candidate can quickly shift focus between projects, adapt to fast-changing priorities, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the launch and monitoring of seasonal and small-scale products, ensuring data-driven decisions.
  • Build, maintain, and improve dashboards for product and business teams.
  • Analyze product funnels, user behavior, and KPIs to identify growth opportunities and improvement areas.
  • Formulate hypotheses, run analyses, and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to implement tracking and event instrumentation.
  • Conduct ad-hoc and deep-dive analyses to support fast-moving product initiatives.
  • Deliver actionable insights under tight deadlines, balancing speed and analytical depth.

Requirements:

  • Senior-level experience in product analytics, preferably in startups.
  • Experience building end-to-end analytics for product launches.
  • Strong understanding of funnels, metrics, and user behavior.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Python or other scripting language at intermediate or higher level.
  • Experience building dashboards in BI tools. (Grafana, Superset, Looker, etc.).
  • Applied statistics knowledge.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working on seasonal or short-term product launches.
  • Experience in the gaming industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation.
  • Experience analyzing seasonal, event-based, or limited-time product initiatives.
  • Experience with automation or data pipelines.
