About your role
The team behind the hit battler Hero Wars: Alliance is looking for a Meta / System Game Designer who can see the game as a complex system and help design features that drive the game's dynamics in the right direction from the very beginning. A new hero, feature, event, progression update, or PvP change can all impact the game's economy, balance, guild activities, matchmaking, rankings, and player motivation. In this role, you'll be expected to identify these connections before release and propose solutions that keep the overall game ecosystem healthy.
What you'll focus on:
- Designing systems for features, game modes, progression, rankings, and matchmaking.
- Analyzing how new heroes and features impact PvP, guild wars, the economy, and the meta.
- Identifying potential balance issues before release.
- Working with analytics, hypotheses, and post-release results.
- Owning features end-to-end—from concept and requirements to launch, post-release analysis, and future iterations.
We hope that you have:
- 5+ years of experience in Game Design
- Strong knowledge of successful mid-core games (Battler), including LiveOps practices.
- Experience working on LiveOps for existing projects using a data-driven approach.
