Machine Learning Engineer (AI)

Remote or Prague, hybrid.

Waibee is an international technology company headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic, building high-load digital products in AI and e-commerce. We develop next-gen solutions powered by LLMs, intelligent agents, and advanced ML systems.

Language requirements: Our day-to-day team communication is conducted in Russian, so candidates should be comfortable speaking and writing in Russian.

What you’ll do:

• Build and ship backend APIs and ML microservices powering our AI features

• Design agent workflows, memory, context, and tool use

• Integrate top LLM providers (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc.) and self-hosted models

• Work with vector databases, RAG pipelines, and hybrid search

• Help shape system architecture and scale AI capabilities

Your superpowers:

• 3+ years building ML/AI products in production

• Strong in Python and/or TypeScript (Node.js)

• Hands-on with LLMs, transformers, NLP workflows, and agent systems

• Experience with SQL/NoSQL, CI/CD, Docker, ideally Kubernetes

• Engineering mindset — ownership, structure, curiosity

• Strong communication and product-first thinking

Nice to have:

• ML/AI side projects, Kaggle, open-source contributions

• Knowledge of PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX

• Understanding of ML theory and classical methods
