Lead Marketing Analyst

RemoteLead

Hi! My name is Yury, and I'm the Head of Analytics at Kodland. I'm looking for a Lead Marketing Analyst - someone who's equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves with SQL and Python as they are building a team and setting the analytics agenda. This is a playing coach role: 50% hands-on analytics, 50% people management. If you're done being purely IC but not ready to go fully into management, this is the right step.

What you are going to do:

  • Analyze traffic performance across acquisition channels and sources to surface optimization opportunities and growth drivers

  • Build and improve attribution models, lead scoring frameworks, and traffic quality assessment approaches, including MTA and MMM

  • Measure creative effectiveness through performance analysis, A/B testing insights, and identification of key drivers impacting campaign results

  • Lead a small analytics team (2–3 people): set priorities, mentor, and continuously improve how the team works

  • Partner closely with Performance, Product, and Growth teams to keep analytics aligned with business decisions

What we expect from you

  • Strong SQL skills: window functions, CTEs, complex data transformations — with 3+ years of commercial experience in analytics

  • 1+ year specifically in marketing analytics: working directly with digital marketing data, channels, and performance metrics

  • Solid background in digital marketing analytics: CAC, LTV, ROI, conversion funnels, attribution models

  • Basic Python proficiency: handle data cleaning, simple automation, and ad-hoc analysis tasks;

  • Experience with BI tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar

  • Experience in people management: running 1-on-1s, building and maintaining PDPs, mentoring analysts on both hard and soft skills, handling performance conversations, and owning the full cycle of team development

  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Yandex Metrika, or other web analytics platforms

  • Hands-on experience with Facebook Ads Manager or Google Ads

  • Background in EdTech or other web product companies

Stages of the interview

  • HR interview

  • Technical interview (live-coding)
