iOS Engineer

Engineer the financial gateway for millions of users across Europe, the Bitpanda’s broker platform. You won't just be writing code, you will be a driving force behind Bitpanda’s flagship iOS app, architecting high-stakes, real-time trading features where performance and flawless UX are everything. Operating within an elite, highly autonomous cross-functional squad, you will take incredibly complex financial systems and strict regulatory frameworks and magically distill them into beautifully simple, rock-solid mobile experiences that empower our users to build their wealth with absolute confidence.

What you'll do

• Designing, developing, and maintaining high-impact iOS features using a modern native stack to build components from scratch with Swift, SwiftUI, and Combine.

• End-to-end ownership of product flows, from kickoff to deployment, understanding the business metrics behind the code and actively improve the user journey alongside Product Managers and Designers.

• Connect APIs, backend-driven experiences, and third-party services in a robust way is essential to ensure buttery smooth performance under the heavy data loads required for real-time trading.

• Embrace our "Shift Left" testing philosophy means integrating XCTest, Snapshot Testing, and Test Driven Development (TDD) directly into the daily workflow to guarantee rock-solid, rapid release cycles alongside QA.

• Drive maintainability and scalability of our mobile application utilising MVVM and MVVM-C architectures, building standalone packages, and applying modern design patterns.

Who you are

• A proven track record of building complex, consumer-facing B2C applications is essential for thriving in our fast-paced, product-first environment.

• Strong proficiency in Swift paired with hands-on experience building production-grade user interfaces with SwiftUI and reactive pipelines with Combine.

• Champion of software quality proactively involves utilising TDD, XCTest, and Snapshot Testing as core parts of the definition of "done"

• A solid command of modern iOS architecture patterns, specifically MVVM and MVVM-C, to successfully structure code for maximum scale, modularisation, and performance optimisation.

• You're a proactive "driver", consistently identifying technical problems, proposing structured solutions, and delivering tangible impact to both the codebase and the end-user experience.
