Head of Product – Centralized Crypto Exchange

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Head of Product with a proven track record of building, launching, and scaling centralized cryptocurrency exchanges (CEX).

The successful candidate will own the product vision, strategy, and execution across the exchange ecosystem, working closely with engineering, operations, compliance, liquidity, marketing, and business teams. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the future of the platform by delivering exceptional trading experiences, expanding product offerings, and driving growth across global markets.

This role requires deep expertise in exchange operations, trading products, market structure, user behavior, and the commercial drivers behind successful crypto exchanges.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for the centralized cryptocurrency exchange

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept and discovery through launch, optimization, and scaling

• Lead the development of core exchange products, including spot trading, wallets, deposits and withdrawals, onboarding, KYC flows, and account management

• Work closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance trading infrastructure

• Partner with liquidity, dealing, and operations teams to optimize trading experiences and market quality

• Drive the development of new trading features, order types, risk controls, and exchange functionality

• Analyze user behavior, trading activity, and business performance metrics to identify growth opportunities

• Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure product alignment with regulatory requirements

• Gather feedback from traders, institutional clients, and internal stakeholders to prioritize product enhancements

• Develop and maintain a clear product roadmap aligned with business objectives and market opportunities

• Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies within the digital asset ecosystem

• Build and lead a high-performing product team as the organization scales

Requirements

• Must have hands-on experience building, launching, and scaling a centralized (CEX/B-book) cryptocurrency exchange from a product perspective

• Proven experience leading product strategy and execution for cryptocurrency exchanges, trading platforms, or digital asset businesses

• Strong understanding of exchange architecture, order matching engines, liquidity management, custody workflows, and trading infrastructure

• Experience managing products within cryptocurrency, digital assets, online trading, brokerage, or fintech environments

• Strong knowledge of spot trading products and exchange operations

• Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile product development environments

• Demonstrated success delivering complex, high-scale products from concept to market

• Strong understanding of crypto market structure, trading behavior, and exchange business models

• Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to drive product decisions and growth initiatives

• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills

• Strong commercial awareness and ability to align product strategy with business objectives

• Experience building and mentoring product teams is highly desirable

• Fluent English language skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
