Head of Product AI

We are looking for a Head of AI who can define and drive AI strategy across our product portfolio, identifying high-impact opportunities that create measurable value. This role will turn AI capabilities into successful product experiences by leading experimentation, execution, and continuous optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the AI engineering strategy across all Muse Group products (MuseScore Studio, Ultimate Guitar, musescore.com, Audacity) — identify where generative AI and other AI capabilities can meaningfully improve our products

• Build and prioritize a roadmap of AI-driven product opportunities based on hypotheses, experimentation, and measurable impact on user metrics

• Own end-to-end delivery of AI features: from concept and hypothesis through experimentation, launch, and iteration

• Partner closely with the ML/engineering team to translate product opportunities into technical execution

• Establish clear success metrics for AI initiatives and rigorously measure impact on user behavior and business outcomes

• Continuously scout the AI landscape and proactively surface new AI possibilities we are not yet aware of — assess their product impact and bring the promising ones into the roadmap across the portfolio

• Present findings, recommendations, and strategy to leadership

Required experience

• Proven hands-on experience shipping generative AI features in products, with measurable impact on user metrics (not just prototypes or pilots)

• Strong practical track record — able to speak concretely about specific launches, the hypotheses behind them, and the results

• Experience building and articulating a AI engineering strategy, not just executing individual features

• Strong technical fluency in generative AI — comfortable working closely with ML/engineering teams and evaluated on real technical depth, not just conceptual understanding

• Highly initiative-driven — comfortable identifying and proposing new opportunities rather than waiting for direction

• Strong analytical mindset — comfortable building hypotheses, designing experiments, and drawing conclusions from data

• Experience in gaming, entertainment, or music/creative tools is a plus (e.g., generative content tools such as map generation or music generation), but not required

• Musical background is a nice-to-have
