About your Role

You will lead Weltrade’s Payments function with one clear mission: make deposits and withdrawals globally reliable, fast, cost-efficient, and compliant at scale. The Payments team sits at the intersection of Revenue, Risk, Compliance, Product, and Engineering; your challenge is to turn a complex mix of PSPs, banks, rails, and local regulations into a predictable, high-approval payment engine across multiple markets and currencies. This role is both strategic and hands-on: you will set the global payments strategy, design the partner and method portfolio, and drive measurable improvements in approval rate, processing time, failure rate, and unit economics: directly impacting conversion, retention, and Weltrade’s ability to expand into new regions without operational drag.

You Have

- 5+ years in payments/fintech/financial operations, including 2+ years leading a payments function or team with end-to-end ownership of deposits/withdrawals.

- Proven experience running global payment ecosystems (PSPs, acquiring, e-wallets, APMs, and/or crypto rails) with multi-currency operations and cross-border coverage.

- Track record of PSP/bank partner management: sourcing, due diligence, commercial negotiation, performance governance, and escalation of ownership.

- Working knowledge of payments compliance and controls (AML/KYC and PCI DSS) and the ability to embed them into scalable operating processes.

- Strong analytical operating cadence: monitoring approval rates, cost drivers, decline/failure reasons, and building optimization roadmaps with clear KPIs and accountability.

Good to Have

- Experience in trading, brokerage, or other high-risk/regulated verticals with higher fraud/chargeback pressure.

- Hands-on delivery experience with product/tech teams integrating payment gateways, routing, risk rules, and reconciliation tooling.

- Additional languages beyond fluent English.
