Head of Engineering
We're seeking a hands-on Head of Engineering to lead a critical unit within the Endless Lifecycle Support product, consisting of approximately 15 talented engineers. This isn't just a management role, it's about being in the trenches, driving architectural excellence, and directly contributing to the code as we scale. You'll be the technical backbone and cultural champion for your team, guiding them through the exciting challenges of a fast-paced startup environment. It's also about being the technical architect, the primary problem-solver, and a direct contributor as we scale.
You'll be instrumental in translating our ambitious product vision into robust, scalable, and highly automated solutions. Your leadership will directly influence our efficiency, product quality, and delivery speed. This role is for an enthusiastic leader who lives and breathes Linux and Automation and Open Source, excels at technical execution, and can inspire a team to deliver quickly and effectively.

Drive architectural strategy and implementation, building high-performance, automated solutions.
Ensure the highest standards of code quality, system reliability, and operational efficiency for all deliverables.
Act as a player-coach, diving into code to solve complex technical challenges and setting the example for the team.
Collaborate closely with product management and executive leadership, translating ideas and hypotheses into technical implementation aggressively and fast.
Actively recruit, mentor, and foster the growth of your engineering team, building a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Leadership & Management:
10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
At least 3-5 years in a leadership role (e.g., Engineering Manager, Director of Engineering) overseeing a team of similar size (around 20 engineers).
A strong, enthusiastic, and results-oriented leadership style with a clear bias for action and fast delivery.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and inspire engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
Startup Acumen: Experience working in startup environments, comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and high ownership.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts and strategic direction to both engineers and executives.
Commitment: A commitment to building secure and reliable systems.
