Head of Analytics
About TaxDome
At TaxDome, we’re building the #1 practice management platform for accounting firms in the US and globally. Founded in 2017, we’ve grown into a 400+ fully remote team across 40+ countries, serving tens of thousands of businesses worldwide with millions of end clients.
How we work
You’ll be part of a globally distributed team built on trust, ownership, and self-management.
We focus on outcomes over activity — prioritizing clear ownership, pragmatic decision-making, and accountability for results over rigid processes. Collaboration is central to how we operate: we communicate openly, involve the right people early, and continuously improve how we build products and teams together.
It’s a fully remote role, we are hiring across European timezones.
About this role
We’re looking for a Head of Analytics who will help TaxDome take our analytics function to the next level. You’ll be responsible for both product analytics and data engineering — building the right data foundations, turning insights into action, and helping the company make smarter, faster decisions.
Your work will directly shape how we understand our users, measure product release success, and plan our roadmap. The role requires someone who can think strategically, dive deep into data when needed, and collaborate well across Product, Engineering, Revenue, and Operations. You’ll report to the VP of Product and lead a growing team of product analysts and data engineers.
What you’ll be responsible for
Strategic Leadership & Vision
Define and execute the Analytics Department Strategy & Roadmap (2026–2027).
Translate company-level OKRs (ARR growth, retention, activation, CSAT) into analytics priorities and measurable KPIs.
Lead the maturity evolution from Level 2 → Level 4 in the Analytics Maturity Framework (Governance, Processes, AI Integration, and Self-Service).
Drive the adoption of AI Analytics, Governance Automation, and Experimentation Platform initiatives.
Department Development
Design and evolve the organizational model — balancing product analytics, data engineering, and operations support.
Define and manage roles such as Staff Product Analyst, Lead Analyst, Senior Product Analyst, and Data Engineer.
Mentor leads and ensure alignment across clusters and horizontals.
Lead the hiring and onboarding of key positions, including Lead Product Analyst and Senior Data Analyst (Operations).
Analytics Infrastructure & Governance
Oversee architecture and evolution of the analytics stack: BigQuery, Airflow, Looker, Amplitude, GA4, HubSpot, and Fivetran.
Govern the development of the Data Catalog, QA Framework, and Governance Automation system.
Ensure the analytics data model aligns with Data Mesh principles and ownership structure.
Supervise integration between data engineering and analytics domains to improve data reliability and reusability.
Insight Generation & Value Creation
Build mechanisms for quantitative feature evaluation (Feature Success Rate, Post-Launch Analysis).
Drive AI-assisted analytics workflows, enabling automated insight generation and predictive analytics.
Ensure every strategic initiative has measurable success metrics linked to financial outcomes (ARR, NDR, RPE).
Establish a culture of data validation and evidence-based product development.
Governance, Quality & Compliance
Own company-wide data governance policies, including accuracy, documentation, access control, and PII compliance.
Lead implementation of Governance Automation Final (Q4 2027) — the first AI-driven, self-regulating governance cycle.
Maintain transparent communication with leadership via Governance Dashboards and Exec Portal reports.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner closely with the VP of Product, CPO, and CTO to align analytics with product strategy and AI innovation.
Act as strategic advisor to product, marketing, and operations leads — ensuring analytics drives decisions.
Present insights and progress to the Executive Team and Board, linking analytics achievements to revenue outcomes.
Within your first 12 months, you will:
2026
Complete rollout of Data Catalog v1, QA Framework, and Governance v2.
Launch AI Analytics Pilot across three clusters (Product, Growth, Finance).
Achieve Analytics Maturity Level 3 — standardized processes, governance structure, and initial automation.
Define and approve the 2027 Governance Automation roadmap.
2027
Deliver Governance Automation Final (Q4 2027) milestone.
Fully integrate QA, Jira, and Data Catalog into one governance automation loop.
Reach Analytics Maturity Level 4 — AI-assisted documentation, predictive analytics, and automated validation.
Lead expansion of AI analytics coverage to 70% of all product clusters.
Publish annual Executive Analytics Report linking analytics outputs to ARR, activation, and retention metrics.

Experience designing or managing modern data architecture, including data quality, documentation, governance, and access control.
Hands-on experience with product analytics tools (Amplitude, GA4, or similar).
Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
Excellent communication skills — ability to turn complex data into clear insights and recommendations for executives and product teams.
