Fullstack Developer
We’re looking for a Full-stack Developer to build an interactive web experience / product demo for Azure Database for PostgreSQL. The application will guide users through simulated Azure/PostgreSQL UI scenarios, contextual hints, feature callouts, progress tracking, scoring logic, leaderboard results, and a CTA to start an Azure trial.
This is closer to a product simulation / guided onboarding experience than to a traditional game. We need someone who can build the application end-to-end — from frontend and scenario logic to lightweight backend APIs, analytics integration, deployment, and support-ready structure.
Responsibilities
- Build the interactive web application end-to-end: frontend, lightweight backend, scoring, progress tracking, leaderboard, analytics integration, and deployment.
- Implement core product screens and flows: landing page, path selection, path introduction, scenario sequence, success screens, leaderboard, and Azure trial CTA screens.
- Develop simulated Azure-like / PostgreSQL UI moments for guided scenarios.
- Implement step-by-step user flows, contextual hints, feature callouts, guidance panel, task rail, progress tracking, and completion states.
- Build scoring logic based on completion, accuracy, hint usage, time, and path completion.
- Implement leaderboard and result persistence if persistent scores are required.
- Create a maintainable content/scenario structure so scenarios can be adjusted without rewriting the whole application.
- Integrate analytics and event tracking for user actions, scenario completion, CTA clicks, and funnel performance.
- Deploy the application and prepare it for hosting and support during the campaign period.
Requirements
- Confident experience building production web applications end-to-end, from frontend to backend.
- Strong experience with a modern frontend stack such as React / Next.js / TypeScript, Vue / Nuxt, SvelteKit, Angular, or similar. React/Next.js is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Experience developing complex interactive UI: onboarding flows, tutorials, product tours, interactive demos, dashboards, simulations, or similar products.
- Strong HTML/CSS and layout skills, responsive design experience, component-based styling, and attention to UI details.
- Ability to implement lightweight backend APIs for sessions, scoring, leaderboard, analytics events, and data persistence. Node.js/TypeScript is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database.
- Ability to manage multi-step flows, scenario state, progress, correctness, hint usage, and completion states.
- Ability to work from Figma designs and clearly communicate implementation constraints.
- Experience deploying web applications and configuring environments.
- Understanding of basic web security, input validation, API protection, and safe data handling.
- Ability to read technical documentation and work with English product content.
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure hosting: Azure App Service, Azure Static Web Apps, Azure Functions, or similar.
- Knowledge of Azure Database for PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Microsoft Fluent UI or Azure-like interfaces.
- Experience with B2B, SaaS, developer tools, edtech, or interactive product demos.
- Experience with gamification mechanics: scoring, progress, achievements, leaderboard, and completion feedback.
- Understanding of AI application concepts: embeddings, vector search, semantic search, AI agents, tracing, or debugging.
- Experience with analytics tools such as GA, Segment, Amplitude, PostHog, or similar.
- Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or similar automated testing tools.
Conditions
- Contract duration: 3–6 months, with the possibility of extension if the project continues or a new project starts.
- Salary in US dollars.
- Zero bureaucracy, minimal micromanagement and streamlined approvals.
- Small friendly agile teams.
- English lessons in groups of 3-4 participants.
