Engineering Manager

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to help develop and manage one of our key core teams. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders (often engineers from other teams), design resilient distributed architectures, translate business requirements into clear technical tasks, conduct code reviews, and continuously improve the product. You will also contribute to coding, although hands-on development is not the primary focus of the role. Responsibilities

• Analyze incoming requests for new features, validate them, and translate them into clear technical requirements aligned with product and business goals

• Collaborate with other development teams to ensure proper integration of solutions and reliable delivery of functionality

• Work with the project manager to define the technical approach to implementing tasks and align on timelines

• Participate in hiring: conduct technical interviews and help onboard new developers

• Oversee the design and development of backend and frontend components, ensuring architectural consistency of solutions

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of the team’s engineering practices.

• Hold regular 1:1 meetings and performance reviews, and support the professional growth of the team

• Work with DevOps engineers on the release process and CI/CD setup.

What makes you the perfect fit

• 6+ years of experience in backend development

• 2+ years of experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager (architecture, team motivation, and growth)

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

• Solid understanding of distributed systems design patterns and network protocols

• Clear understanding of the full software development lifecycle

• Strong backend development skills in Go

• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins)

• Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases

• Hands-on experience designing APIs and microservice architectures

• English proficiency at B1 level or higher

• Strong command of Russian is required
