Director of Revenue

SpainRelocationOn-siteChief

BidMachine's UA business unit is looking for an entrepreneurial Director of Revenue to find and validate new advertiser verticals and revenue opportunities, translate them into technical requirements alongside our product and engineering teams, and drive the hands-on, operational optimization work that gets new campaigns performing while our automation matures.

You'll work in near-daily coordination with our Head of Product Engineering (UA) to test market opportunities against technical feasibility, and with our commercial leadership to keep go-to-market and product moving in lockstep. This is a role for someone who is comfortable making calls and owning outcomes, not just escalating and asking.

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and validate new advertiser verticals and revenue opportunities with meaningful budget, including verticals where competitors are currently winning.

  • Bring opportunities to the technical team, assess what's missing to serve them, and drive a fast go/no-go decision.

  • Lead hands-on campaign optimization — working with a team of analysts and media buyers — to get performance to the level where our automated bidding/prediction models can take over.

  • Track competitor and adjacent-player activity in the DSP space and react quickly to shifts in the competitive landscape.

  • Build and maintain a tight communication loop with UA leadership to keep priorities and feasibility aligned quarter over quarter.

  • Provide guidance and direction to the Head of Revenue Operations without duplicating or replacing that role.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in mobile UA, performance marketing, or programmatic advertising, ideally starting from a data-analyst or media-buying background and growing into a commercial/strategic role.

  • Deep familiarity with UA and mobile ad tech market dynamics, including DSPs, CPI networks, and the broader competitive landscape.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate comfortably across both relationship-driven and highly analytical work (this role is roughly 40% relationship management, 60% data, patterns, and execution).

  • Strong bias to action — comfortable making decisions and owning outcomes with incomplete top-down clarity.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and sales.

  • Advanced Business English, particularly in writing and speaking.

  • Willingness to relocate to Barcelona.

Nice to Haves:

  • Direct experience at a full-stack ad tech company (exchange + mediation + DSP).

  • A track record of identifying and closing new advertiser verticals ahead of competitors.
