DevOps Engineer

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to serve as an expert on databases and data pipelines, providing support for our expanding cloud offering with managed services like relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and event streaming (Kafka).

As a DevOps you believe in Infrastructure as Code and automation, follow GitOps principles, love operators, and enjoy building clean, reproducible systems.

You have domain expertise in supporting PostgreSQL and Kafka for internal development teams. You understand how to keep these systems healthy, scalable, and observable.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Be an expert in managed services - ensure the reliability of PostgreSQL and Kafka workloads, assist with customer-related technical questions, and contribute to feature planning and service improvements

• Handle DevOps duties - add observability, maintain CI/CD, improve infrastructure and tooling

• Participate in cloud R&D - work on storage, networking, GPU integration, container runtimes

• Join the on-call rotation

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of production experience

• Strong experience operating and tuning PostgreSQL and Kafka

• Solid understanding of Kubernetes from the user perspective

• Terraform skills and an IaC mindset

• Familiarity with GitOps principles and tools

• Experience with the Prometheus ecosystem

• Good grasp of hardware and networking fundamentals

• Ability to work independently, and deliver results quickly

• Professional proficiency in English

Nice to Have:

• Kubernetes expertise - experience designing, deploying, and managing production clusters

• Strong Linux internals knowledge with the ability to debug low-level performance issues, such as bottlenecks in the kernel or networking stack

• Familiarity with CloudnativePG and Redpanda operators

• Experience with Redis, ClickHouse, MinIO, OIDC providers, and other self-hosted services

• Experience with self-hosted distributed storage solutions

• Advanced networking

• Proficiency in Russian

What You'll Tackle First:

• Become owner of internal PostgreSQL setup (CloudnativePG):

  • fine tune and optimize settings

  • review and improve alerting

  • create and test disaster recovery plans

• Participate in planning for managed PostgreSQL service
