Data Engineer
25$ per hour, gross (flexible)
For our client in the finance sector, we are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a data platform project.
📍 Location: Remote from Europe
📅 Start: June 2026 (or earlier by agreement)
📆 Duration: Until 31.12.2026 + possible extension
⏱ Workload: Full-time
Responsibilities
• Work closely with stakeholders to clarify business & technical requirements
• Coordinate data integration with multiple source systems
• Design Data Warehouse models using Data Vault methodology
• Develop and optimize data pipelines (SQL & Python)
• Build scalable transformations using Databricks and dbt
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance in banking use cases
Requirements
✔️ Data Engineering / Data Warehouse experience
✔️ Strong SQL & Python
✔️ Experience with Databricks
✔️ Experience with dbt
✔️ Data Vault modeling
✔️ Experience working with multiple source systems
✔️ German & English – business fluent
✔️ Banking experience is a plus
