Data Analyst (Payments)

WorldwideGeorgiaKazakhstanPhilippinesRelocationRemoteHybrid

Location: Manila, Philippines

Remote work is possible, core working hours are 12:00 - 18:00 GMT+8

The Payments domain is experiencing significant growth, expanding across debit products, credit products, and cross-border payments. At the same time, the scope of work continues to increase in mobile analytics - including transaction feed analytics, merchant naming standardization, and icon mapping. To support this scale and ensure stable delivery with high analytical standards, we are looking for a Mid-Level Data Analyst to join the Payments team.

Responsibilities:

  • Own mobile analytics end-to-end — requirements, monitoring, funnel/drop-off analysis, research, and documentation.

  • Take full ownership of Transaction Feed analytics — merchant naming standardization, transaction categorization, and icon mapping logic for the Salmon App.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting for Payments products (debit, credit, cross-border payments).

  • Monitor key payment metrics, identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Partner with product and engineering teams to define and validate tracking requirements for mobile and web.

  • Support forecasting and financial reporting for credit products and bills payments streams.

  • Deliver self-serve analytics and clear stakeholder presentations.

  • Support analytical needs for new initiatives and ad-hoc deep-dive analyses.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably in fintech or payments.

  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with BI tools (Tableau, or similar).

  • Understanding of analytics instrumentation and event-based data structures (mobile/web).

  • Experience with mobile analytics - funnels, drop-off analysis, user behavior tracking.

  • Familiarity with transaction data - payment flows, categorization, data quality issues.

  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical frameworks and actionable insights.

  • Good communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally and presenting data clearly.

  • Experience with Amplitude or similar product analytics tools is a plus - especially for mobile funnel analysis and event tracking.

  • Exposure to forecasting or financial reporting is a plus.

  • Experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth product environment is a plus.
