KittySpout / DoggySpout is looking for a hands-on CRO Lead to join our team! You will own every conversion test across our site, landing pages, paid-acquisition funnels, on-site offers and post-purchase upsells. This is an all-in-one role: you set the strategy and you do the work – building the backlog, briefing and QA-ing tests, launching them and shipping the winners.
We spend $2,000,000+ per month on Meta, so your tests reach significance fast. We are looking to hire someone with 3–4+ years running CRO programs for Shopify DTC brands. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on Intelligems experience, has built and tested paid-acquisition funnels, and can show the data behind tests that lifted conversion rate, AOV or revenue per visitor.
The mission of this role
Own every conversion test on both of our brands (site, landing pages, funnels, on-site offers and post-purchase upsells) so each visitor is worth more every month. Success is a steady, well-run test program that lifts conversion rate, AOV and revenue per visitor across every page, funnel and offer.
Who are we?
KittySpout is a premium DTC brand selling stainless steel cat water fountains, filters and accessories. We sell across Shopify, Amazon and Chewy, and we're one of the fastest-growing brands in the pet space – $50M+ in annual revenue and scaling to $100M+. We recently launched DoggySpout, expanding into an entirely new vertical and customer base. We're a 100% remote, lean, senior team that moves fast, and every person here has a massive impact on the business.
What is our culture like & who is a good fit?
Culture-fit is our #1 factor when hiring! We have a genuine will-to-win. No work is beneath us if it moves us towards our goals. We use creativity to do more with less – and quickly. We use data to make decisions and live by four core values:
- Better Everyday – keep a live test on each brand, write down the learning from every result, and improve the test plan, QA checklist and agency process after every round.
- Speed Is King – move from idea to live test in days, call finished tests on time, ship winners the week they win, and flag a conversion drop the same day.
- Work Smart – AI and automation first. Use Claude to turn Clarity recordings, reviews and surveys into test ideas and draft test briefs; automate reporting and drop alerts.
- Overdeliver – catch a conversion problem before anyone asks, bring the cause and the fix, and reuse winning patterns across both brands without being told.
If you want a stress-free corporate 9–5 job, this isn't it.
If you want to challenge yourself and shape a fast-growing company, work directly with the founder, and play a big role in scaling it to $100M+... If you want to drive results with a group of passionate, smart, hardworking people, in an environment without politics or corporate chicanery, being hands-on and active – then you've come to the right place.
Outcomes (what success looks like)
90-day targets for each outcome are agreed with you before your start date.
- Conversion rate and revenue per visitor rise on both brands – measured weekly by brand (Intelligems, Shopify)
- Paid-acquisition landing pages and funnels that convert – CVR and RPV per funnel (Intelligems, Northbeam)
- Continuous improvement across the website – tests live every week; winners shipped
- AOV and post-purchase upsell take rate rise – AOV (Shopify), upsell take rate (AfterSell)
- No conversion drop goes unnoticed – drops caught and raised the same day
Key Objectives
- Own the CRO test plan and backlog for both brands, ranked by expected impact, so the biggest wins run first.
- Build, test and launch paid-acquisition funnels, on-site offers and post-purchase upsells.
- Brief, QA and launch tests every week – then call results honestly and ship the winners.
- Drive measurable lifts in conversion rate, AOV and revenue per visitor.
- Catch conversion drops the same day and bring the cause and the fix.
- Manage our CRO agency and decide with the Head of Growth when work moves in-house.
- Report CRO KPIs weekly and run the weekly CRO & Funnels meeting.
