CPA manager (Affiliate)

Hi!

Overgear is an international e-commerce platform for gamers. We help players save time and professional players earn money from their expertise.

Since 2017, we have been building a product for the global market, primarily the US and Europe. Users around the world trust Overgear: we have 34,000+ reviews on Trustpilot with a 4.9/5 rating, and 300,000+ users visit our website every month.

About the role

The affiliate channel is already working: publishers and partners are bringing us real volume today. But it does not yet have an owner.

You will take full ownership of the CPA channel: multiply its volume while maintaining unit economics, and put reporting in order so you can defend the numbers in front of a data-driven audience.

This is a senior role with a high degree of autonomy within the Acquisition team, reporting to the Head of Acquisition.

Why choose Overgear

At Overgear, you will work at a company that values results, not process for its own sake: what you have built and how it has affected the product, customers, team, or business.

Our standards are high but clear. We trust people within their areas of responsibility, discuss expectations openly, and give them room to choose the solutions that best deliver results.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Own the growth of Overgear’s entire CPA channel: retain and grow existing publishers and recruit new ones — game guide websites, YouTube and Twitch creators, Discord and Reddit communities, and specialist CPA networks.

• Negotiate payout rates, bonus schemes, and individual terms for major partners, including promotions around game releases and season launches.

• Protect the channel’s unit economics: monitor payouts against margin and GMV, build the financial model, and propose rate changes based on numbers rather than gut feeling.

• Keep attribution accurate: own tracking, tags, and deduplication with paid traffic, and identify and prevent fraud and artificial traffic inflation.

• Maintain regular channel reporting: volume, new customers, CAC, GMV, and the channel’s share of acquisition.

• Work across teams: with Acquisition on overlap with paid traffic and cannibalization, with Gameleads on priority games and products, and with Content on promotional materials and partner landing pages.

• Develop the affiliate program itself: terms, materials, partner onboarding, and proposals to improve the partner dashboard and payouts.

Requirements

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in affiliate / CPA marketing on the advertiser or network side, personally managing a portfolio of partners.

• A channel you can name that grew under your management — with figures demonstrating both volume and unit economics.

• Strong commercial negotiation skills: the ability to calculate a deal’s economics and distinguish growth in volume from growth in losses.

• Confidence working with numbers — payouts, margin, CAC, ROAS, and cohorts — and strong spreadsheet skills.

• An understanding of affiliate traffic tracking and attribution: postbacks, tags, and deduplication with paid traffic.

• Hands-on experience identifying fraud in affiliate traffic.

• B2+ English for confident negotiations and correspondence — most partners are based in Western markets. Russian for internal communication.

• Senior-level independence: you will build this area under your own responsibility, without micromanagement.

• Fluent Russian knowledge

Nice to have

• Experience in the gaming vertical: gaming services, game boosting, gaming goods, or esports.

• Your own network of contacts among gaming publishers and CPA networks.

• Experience working with influencers and streamers on a performance-based payment model.

• An understanding of seasonality in gaming niches: releases, season launches, and patches.

• Experience launching or rebuilding an affiliate program, rather than only managing an existing flow.

• The ambition to grow into the head of the function with your own team.
