As a fast-growing investment tech platform, hiring the right people at the right time is critical to our success.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Business Recruiter (Business Talent Acquisition Partner) to join our Talent Acquisition team and take full ownership of hiring across our business functions. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, proactive, and comfortable operating end-to-end — from shaping roles and sourcing talent to partnering with senior stakeholders and closing hires.
You’ll work closely with leaders across the business and have the autonomy to own recruitment solutions from start to finish, helping scale InvestEngine with high-quality, well-judged hires. This is a full-cycle recruitment role and fully remote from anywhere in the UK.
What You’ll Do
- Own end-to-end recruitment for business roles across InvestEngine (from intake to offer)
- Partner with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, success criteria, and hiring priorities
- Proactively source and engage talent through direct outreach, networking, and targeted sourcing strategies
- Manage inbound applications and guide candidates through each stage of the process
- Screen and interview candidates using structured, competency-based assessment methods
- Act as a trusted recruitment partner to stakeholders, advising on market conditions and hiring decisions
- Drive a consistent, high-quality candidate experience from first contact to offer
- Continuously improve hiring processes, tooling, and ways of working as the business scales
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of recruitment experience within fintech or investment banking (mandatory)
- Proven experience hiring for fintech platforms, investment tech companies, or similar regulated financial businesses
- Strong full-cycle recruitment experience, including sourcing, screening, stakeholder management, and offer delivery
- Confidence in proactive sourcing and engaging passive candidates
- Experience partnering closely with senior stakeholders in a consultative, outcome-focused way
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple roles in parallel
- Excellent communication skills and sound hiring judgement
- Experience hiring across multiple business functions (e.g. Marketing, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Strategy)
- Background in high-growth fintechs, scale-ups, or investment platforms
- Experience operating in a lean or scaling People / Talent function
- UK-based and able to work remotely from anywhere in the UK
How We Work
We’re a lean, fast-moving team that values clarity, ownership, and transparency. You won’t just be filling roles — you’ll help shape how we hire, improve processes, and raise the bar on hiring quality. We expect autonomy and accountability, but we also support each other. No bureaucracy, no drama — just thoughtful collaboration and meaningful work.
What We Offer
- Impact from day one
- You’ll take on meaningful work from the start, tackling real challenges that drive the stability, efficiency, and growth of our business.
- Room to grow
- As we scale, you’ll have opportunities to expand your responsibilities, influence how we work, and help shape our long-term direction.
- Transparent and open culture
- We share decisions openly, keep communication channels clear, and encourage collaboration across every part of the business.
- Supportive, high-calibre team
- Work alongside talented professionals who are experts in their fields — smart, driven, and generous with their knowledge.
- Remote first and flexible
- Work in the way that best suits you. We focus on results, not rigid hours, and trust you to manage your time effectively.
Our Hiring Process
- Introductory call with our Talent team
- Gamified cognitive assessment to understand how you think and problem-solve
- Competency-based interview focused on your recruitment experience and judgement
- Final interview with senior stakeholders to assess alignment with our culture and ways of working
