BI Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and interpreting complex data sets from various sources (e.g., blockchain transactions, financial markets, and customer data), using statistical techniques and data visualization tools to identify patterns, trends, and insights

• Developing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL queries (Columnar databases) to ensure data accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility, perform statistical data analysis

• Leveraging your expertise in Python to design and implement advanced data models, predictive analytics, and machine learning algorithms to support business decision-making and strategic initiatives

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders, to translate data insights into actionable recommendations and to develop data-driven strategies for our products and services

• Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of data analysis processes, methodologies, and results, ensuring that key findings are effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders

• Working with key stakeholders to identify needs and report outputs to answer questions and drive decisions

• Staying current with industry trends and best practices in data analysis, blockchain, and finance, and identifying opportunities for improving our data infrastructure and analytical capabilities

Requirements

• 3+ years of BI/Analytics experience

• English B2+ and experience of verbal communication in international teams

• Strong knowledge of SQL

• Strong experience with Tableau data visualization

• Internally-motivated, self-starter mindset with an analytical thinking and curiosity to help find insights and show the value of data-driven decision making

• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with technical and non-technical teams

• Strong organization and presentation skills

• Detail-oriented approach with a passion for analytics and problem-solving

Nice to have

• Experience with Vertica or similar columnar database

• Demonstrable experience in the blockchain or finance domain

• Experience or familiarity with forecasting data (Python, R)

• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes in Apache Airflow

• Experience or familiarity with Machine Learning algorithms and their real-world advantages/drawbacks

• Experience of ML models development
