Analytics Engineer
We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our Product Analytics team.
With data ingestion and platform stability handled by our Data Engineering team, your primary focus will be on the Transformation layer. You will treat data as code – dedicating your time to architecture, modularity, and testing.
You will collaborate with product analysts to translate complex game mechanics into clear semantic layers. Your goal is to minimize analytical debt by building robust data models that make decision-making fast, reliable, and transparent.
Your mission
Enable analysts to focus on insights and decisions instead of data plumbing by:
Designing and evolving a clear, reliable, and scalable analytical DWH and data model
Taking ownership of data stability and query performance
What you will be doing
Architecture & Modeling: Build, refactor, and maintain the transformation layer (staging, intermediate, marts) within our dbt codebase.
Quality as Code: Ensure data reliability by applying software engineering practices: version control, code reviews, documentation, and automated testing (dbt tests).
Business Alignment: Partner with analytics leadership to translate business requirements into technical specs and identify missing data marts.
BI Enablement: Design and maintain efficient data sources for Tableau, preparing clean, pre-calculated datasets so analysts can build reports without wrestling with raw data.
Performance: Optimize heavy SQL transformations to ensure query performance matches the speed of business decision-making.
What we expect from you
