AI Product Manager

Why this role matters

The AI Platform Product Manager is responsible for the vision, roadmap, and development of internal on-premise AI products and platform capabilities, including Datalab, the on-prem AI toolkit, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) capabilities. The role translates organizational AI needs into platform products and capabilities, coordinates their development together with Engineering, demonstrates solutions to users, and drives the creation of MVPs for new AI products. The role works closely with relevant business and technical stakeholders to evolve Datalab and other internal AI capabilities. The role owns product outcomes across the lifecycle - from discovery and prioritization through delivery, adoption, measurement, and continuous improvement - ensuring the platform solves meaningful internal user problems and supports the organization’s broader AI strategy.

What you'll actually do

• Define and maintain the Datalab (or other) vision and roadmap
• Translate stakeholder needs and strategic priorities into product initiatives and development priorities
• Define product objectives, success measures, and prioritization criteria
• Manage the on-prem AI toolkit as a product, defining required capabilities and coordinating its ongoing development and improvement
• Ensure platform capabilities are reusable, scalable, and suitable for different internal AI use cases
• Drive MVP development for new AI products and capabilities
• Identify user problems, validate hypotheses, define MVP scope, gather feedback, and determine whether solutions should be scaled, iterated, or discontinued
• Drive development and evolution of Model Context Protocol capabilities and related internal products
• Identify high-value MCP use cases and define how internal systems, data, tools, and AI agents should interact through standardized interfaces
• Work closely with the Datalab Developer on Datalab development and coordinate implementation of agreed product priorities
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, clarify requirements, manage dependencies, and support Engineering throughout delivery
• Conduct product demonstrations of AI platform capabilities
• Drive internal adoption, collect structured user feedback, communicate new capabilities, and use adoption and usage data to inform future priorities
• Partner with Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, Data, and AI stakeholders to ensure platform capabilities meet relevant technical, security, reliability, and governance requirements
• Monitor product usage and outcomes to continuously improve the platform

Who we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
• 3–5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably involving technical platforms, developer products, data platforms, AI/ML products, or enterprise infrastructure
• Hands-on experience delivering technically complex products in close collaboration with Engineering teams
• Strong understanding of internal technology platforms and AI products, including GenAI/LLM ecosystems and how AI applications are built and operated in an enterprise environment
• Understanding of LLMs, GenAI applications, AI agents, RAG, APIs, AI tooling, and Model Context Protocol (MCP)
• Understanding of on-premise versus cloud AI architecture, including associated security, infrastructure, and data considerations
• Strong experience in product vision and roadmap development, product discovery, MVP definition, backlog management, and prioritization
• Ability to translate business and user problems into technical product requirements, define product metrics, and use qualitative and quantitative evidence for prioritization
• Strong product thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, stakeholder management, ownership, and communication skills, including the ability to challenge requests and operate effectively in areas where requirements are not always well defined
• English level B2+, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, AI users, business stakeholders, Data, Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, and senior stakeholders
