AI Engineer

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and maintain production AI systems (LangGraph agents, RAG, multi-provider LLM orchestration, and evaluation frameworks). The core task is turning customer conversations and documents into grounded, auditable cost estimates.

Key Info:
- Format: Full-time, 100% Remote (overlap with US/EST time zones is required).
- Location: Europe (Serbia, Croatia, etc.).
- Process: The final interview stage will be held in person (not online).

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities):

• LLM Agents & Orchestration: Build and maintain LangGraph agents (ReAct sub-agents, custom middleware, Pydantic-typed graph state, streaming flows).

• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): Own end-to-end retrieval quality (agentic retrieval, metadata filters, similarity thresholds, semantic chunking, citation tracking).

• Integration & Backend: Integrate AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, and self-hosted vLLM; maintain API services, vector stores, and observability/tracing for AI workflows.

• Technical Leadership: Set technical direction for the AI workstream, review designs/code, and mentor engineers.

Requirements:

• Experience: 6+ years in software engineering, with 1+ years shipping production LLM-powered or ML systems (agents, RAG, prompt/evaluation pipelines).

• Tech Stack & Skills: Deep knowledge of LangGraph, RAG, embeddings, vector search, multi-model integration, and evaluation-driven iteration.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze non-deterministic AI behavior from production traces, diagnose hallucinations, and land measurable fixes under time pressure.

• Communication: Exceptional English (written & verbal), comfortable presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and clients.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in CS, Software Engineering, Data Science, or Mathematics.
