EuropeRemoteHybrid

We are looking for an AI Researcher to identify, prioritize, and drive adoption of AI-powered automation across the company. This is a business-first role with strong technical fluency. You will run an AI/automation audit, build a high-impact roadmap, and coordinate cross-functional execution while ensuring security, compliance, and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Run an organization-wide audit of AI tools and automation practices: identify gaps, risks, and quick wins.

  • Build and maintain an AI/automation opportunity map with impact/effort/risk scoring and clear success metrics.

  • Drive initiatives end-to-end: discovery → business case → PoC → pilot → rollout → adoption and monitoring.

  • Establish an AI governance framework in collaboration with Security, Compliance, and Legal (data handling, access, vendor approvals, logging, policies).

  • Coordinate cross-department execution, defining roadmap, aligning stakeholders and removing blockers.

  • Evaluate and onboard external vendors/partners: pilots, due diligence, TCO/ROI, and rollout recommendations.

  • Create clear documentation (requirements, decision logs, playbooks) and transparent reporting on progress and impact.

  • Stay up to date with AI industry developments and translate relevant practices into pragmatic internal use cases.

Requirements:

  • Experience delivering cross-functional technology/automation initiatives with measurable business impact.

  • Strong understanding of AI/LLM capabilities and limitations, and practical automation/integration approaches (APIs, workflows, iPaaS/RPA as applicable).

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority and drive execution in ambiguous environments.

  • Strong analytical skills: defining KPIs, setting baselines, measuring outcomes, and iterating based on data.

  • Excellent communication (business + technical), documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency with modern delivery tools (Jira/Confluence/Notion, etc.).

  • Strong English communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in fintech/payments or other regulated environments with strict information security requirements.

  • Hands-on exposure to LLM platforms/APIs and patterns like retrieval/search augmentation, classification, or process copilots.

  • Vendor risk assessment and procurement experience (privacy, DPA/SLA, security reviews).
