Who we are. A new mobile studio focused on casual puzzle games: sort, match, tile, jams, and new waves of the genre. Our first product is a cozy “corner shop” sort puzzle. The studio is backed by an experienced investor and publisher from the top of mobile gaming. Our edge is an in-house adaptive difficulty and personalization engine — the game adapts to every player.
Why it’s interesting. You’ll be the studio’s first artist and set the visual style and feel of the game, with room to grow into Art Lead.
What you’ll do
Define and own the style: a style guide (palette, light, outlines, proportions) so that 200 items and every screen look like one game
Item icons: 150–200 items
Game screens: shelves, baskets, counter, mechanics (ice, paper bags, boarded-up shelf, hammer, key), boosters, buttons, pop-ups, win screen
Game juice with the Unity developer: basket-complete effects, rewards, win moments, feedback on every player action
Quick setting variations (3–5) for creative tests
App icon and store screenshots; later, creative assets and seasonal skins
Requirements
Casual puzzles in your portfolio: sort (goods, water, ball sort), match-3, triple match, tile, merge, block
Game juice: effects, reward and action animations, color and light that make the game feel good to touch. Please show videos or GIFs, not only static images
AI in your workflow: you get the most out of AI tools and keep manual work to a minimum, but the result never looks like raw generation
Consistent style across a large asset set, and speed
A strong eye: you know what top puzzle games of 2025–2026 look like and why their art works
Understanding how assets live in Unity (atlases, sizes, 9-slice, particles)
Independence: you suggest options instead of waiting for a brief for every icon
Ready to be productive from day one, as timelines are tight
Nice to have: art education (color theory, composition), Spine or other 2D animation, VFX in Unity, ad creatives, UI for an older audience
Unfortunately, we can’t consider applications without puzzle game work.

Gear Seven
Gear Seven is a brand-new casual puzzle studio in Warsaw, remote-first. We make cozy, clever puzzle games for players all over the world, and we are hiring the crew that builds them.
Our first title is a calm, tidy puzzle for people who like to unwind with a cup of tea. First playtests this winter. We will show more when it is ready.
Five rules for every game we make. These hold whether we are building a sorter, a blaster or something nobody has named yet.
Every mechanic is fair game. Sort, match, tile, jam, blast, merge. If players have to stop and think, we want to build it.
Small team, many hands. Everyone here works with AI agents. Five people ship like twenty, and people keep the calls that need taste.
Every player gets their own game. Our games learn how you play and tune the challenge to you—no wall at level 40, and no boredom either.
Juice is part of the design. Colour, motion, and sound decide whether a tap feels good. We polish the feel as hard as the levels.
Ship, measure, repeat. Updates every week or two. We test, number, and decide every idea.
We are hiring the people who will decide how this studio works. We look for shipped games and hunger to learn, not years on a CV. Open a role to see the details.
Please let Gear Seven know you found this job on Wantapply.com. It helps us to get more jobs on our site. Thanks!
