Trading Data Analyst

Why this role matters

The Market Making Operations Team combines unique expertise, knowledge and responsibilities in three main aspects of our trading product: pricing, execution models and client experience. A Data Analyst in our MMO Development department is an expert responsible for shaping product features and operational processes towards sustainable growth through analysis of historical data, simulations and experiments.

What you’ll actually do

• Research dependencies between trading strategies efficiency and product configuration

• Define / improve metrics representing product’s performance and operations’ efficiency

• Design reports and alerts to assure the metrics are transparent and can be observed in timely manner

• Search for inefficiencies and suggest solutions

• Assess solutions through backtesting, A/B testing and modelling

• Know well the data landscape and collaborate with Data Engineering to improve it

Who we’re looking for

• 4 years of experience in data roles

• At least 1 year of experience in trading/fintech companies

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in SQL

• Strong knowledge of Python (pandas, visualization and ML packages)

• Experience with Metabase and/or Grafana would be a plus

• Knowledge of C++ would be a plus

• Able to take ownership of small projects and drive them through all phases — from planning to delivery.

• Highly organized and rigorous thinker, able to solve problems diligently and creatively
