Technical Product Lead (Debit & Deposits)

We are looking for a leader to own the efficiency, stability, and scalability of the bank’s back-office operations - with a core focus on process re-design, automation, and cross-functional program leadership.

The role is responsible for transforming EDD/AML, disputes, data operations, reporting, and audit support into a predictable, low-risk, and highly automated operational engine.

We would like you to relocate to Manila for the first 3–6 months. We cover flights and initial accommodation. After this period, you may choose to stay in Manila or work remotely within GMT+5 to GMT+9 to maintain synchronous collaboration with the team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process Re-Design & Operational Excellence Own end-to-end mapping and re-design of Ops flows: KYC QC, EDD, AML case handling, disputes & chargebacks, data maintenance, reporting, archival. Identify bottlenecks and root causes; redesign workflows to improve TAT, quality, SLA performance, and execution stability. Standardize procedures, reduce manual touchpoints, and embed controls to minimize operational risk.

  2. Automation & Ops Platform Development Build and evolve the Ops & Compliance Optimization Platform as the unified automation, analytics, and control layer for Operations. Lead requirements, feature design, and roadmap execution with Tech and Data teams. Ensure tools are intuitive, scalable, and eliminate repetitive manual work.

  3. Cross-Functional Program Leadership Lead large-scale initiatives across Ops, Compliance, Data, Tech, and Audit, ensuring alignment and disciplined execution. Prioritize and manage a pipeline of improvements based on ROI, risk reduction, and regulatory impact. Establish governance, documentation standards, and feedback loops across teams.

  4. Data, Reporting & Quality Governance Ensure clean, auditable operational data for regulatory and management needs. Develop dashboards, monitoring tools, alerts, and workload visibility. Oversee preparation of internal Ops performance reports and external audit deliverables.

  5. Platform Product Ownership Treat the Ops Platform as an internal product with clear user journeys, acceptance criteria, and UX expectations. Translate operational pain points into automation features and scalable solutions. Collaborate with engineers on automation architecture and reusable components. Measure and communicate platform impact on Ops productivity and risk.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Ops Optimization, Program Management, or Product/Process roles in banking, fintech, payments or similar regulated industries

  • Strong understanding of KYC/AML Compliance or Payment Operations.

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional and multi-stakeholder programs.

  • Analytical mindset; familiarity with data analytics, workflow automation, and BPM tools.

  • Excellent communication skills — capable of aligning CX, Compliance, Ops and Technology stakeholders
