Senior Game Designer (AI/Combat)
Responsibilities
Design and develop gameplay (combat/encounter), from concept to implementation;
Prototype gameplay, game mechanics, and systems;
Balance the combat system's difficulty, and drive its evolution and improvement;
Blueprints & behavior tree scripting for developing and configuring game systems;
Write design documentation;
Collaborate with the game design, animation, VFX, and other teams.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of the gaming industry and extensive experience playing shooters (PvP/PvE);
3+ years of experience in PC/console game development, with at least one shipped title;
Experience working with combat and gameplay systems (battles, weapons, AI, abilities, character stats, game modes, level design) from concept to final tuning;
Proficiency with game engine tools and scripting (Unreal Engine 5);
Proficiency in Russian (for communication with an Russian-speaking team);
A passion for creating realistic, tense gameplay where positioning, information, and preparation are more important than raw stats.
