We are looking for a structured, data-driven, and stakeholder-savvy Product Manager to join our Onboarding Automation team. In this role, you’ll focus on optimizing the internal processes and tooling that power Finom’s account opening journey. Your mission will be to increase the share of applications processed automatically, while reducing the time our Operations team spends on manual tasks. You’ll be working at the intersection of operations, compliance, and customer experience, designing solutions that are efficient, scalable, and user-friendly. You’ll need to challenge assumptions, balance diverse requirements, and defend decisions with both data and clear articulation. This is a unique opportunity to shape how Finom streamlines onboarding at scale — ensuring we welcome legitimate customers smoothly, keep fraud under control, and empower our Operations team to work smarter, not harder.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the product strategy and roadmap for Onboarding Automation, focusing on internal tooling, process optimization, and automation of account opening workflows.

  • Partner closely with the Operations team to identify inefficiencies and build solutions that minimize manual work without compromising accuracy or compliance.

  • Translate complex onboarding and KYC/KYB requirements into simple, scalable product flows that support both regulatory demands and great customer experience.

  • Collaborate with Compliance stakeholders to challenge requirements, find pragmatic solutions, and strike the right balance between fraud prevention and seamless onboarding.

  • Use data to uncover bottlenecks, measure automation impact, and continuously optimize processes for speed, efficiency, and conversion rates.

  • Champion an evidence-based product culture — questioning assumptions, digging into root causes, and making decisions grounded in data and clear reasoning.

  • Navigate complexity and multiple stakeholders, keeping discussions outcome-focused and aligned with Finom’s growth goals.

Requirements

  • You have 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or internal platforms, with exposure to operations-heavy or compliance-driven processes.

  • You bring a structured and analytical mindset: able to dissect complex workflows, identify root causes, and design clear, scalable solutions.

  • You’re skilled at critical thinking: separating facts from opinions, questioning assumptions, and defending your point of view with data and clear articulation.

  • You’re experienced working with cross-functional teams across Operations, Product, Engineering, and (ideally) Compliance, and can balance their priorities effectively.

  • You’re a strong communicator: able to argue positions constructively, adapt your message to different stakeholders, and push back diplomatically when needed.

  • You thrive in high-complexity environments with multiple stakeholders, and can keep focus on impact and measurable outcomes.

  • You’re outcome-driven: always prioritizing automation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction over processes for their own sake.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with onboarding, KYC/KYB, workflow automation, or internal tools for Ops teams.

  • Familiarity with compliance processes (AML, sanctions screening, fraud prevention) and ability to challenge them constructively.

  • Exposure to B2B or SME-focused fintech products.

  • Background in data analysis, workflow systems, or API integrations.

  • Experience in a scale-up environment, navigating heavy complexity while driving measurable results.
