Product Designer (Growth)

We're looking for a Product Designer to join the Monetization team at Ultimate Guitar and take the lead on high-impact projects. You'll act as the Directly Responsible Individual, driving initiatives from ideation to launch. Your work will directly influence user acquisition, retention, and revenue growth — helping us move fast without sacrificing quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Hypothesis Generation:

  • Generate and validate hypotheses with cross-functional team to improve user acquisition, retention, and premium subscription reactivation

  • Identify and design new revenue opportunities and monetization features

  • Collaborate with UX research team to uncover user pain points and optimization opportunities

Design Leadership:

  • Lead complete design process from ideation through production implementation (web + app)

  • Serve as DRI on monetization projects, coordinating cross-functional teams

  • Drive projects from initial hypothesis through final results, analysis, and next steps planning

Data-Driven Design:

  • Leverage product analytics and experimentation to inform design decisions

  • Design and optimize monetization funnels based on user behavior data

  • Create A/B test variations and measure impact on conversion and revenue metrics

Research & Optimization:

  • Work with UX research team to identify user needs and conversion barriers

  • Conduct usability testing on payment flows and subscription experiences

  • Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback and performance data

Required Experience: 

  • 3+ years designing digital products, preferably with subscription/freemium models

  • Proven experience with monetization features and conversion optimization

  • Hands-on A/B testing and data-driven design methodology

  • Expert proficiency in Figma

  • Cross-platform design experience (web and mobile)

  • Strong understanding of design systems and component libraries

  • Experience with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, etc.)

  • Ability to analyze conversion funnels and user behavior data

  • Experience collaborating with UX researchers and conducting usability testing

  • Strong hypothesis formation and experimentation skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities

  • English level: Upper-Intermediate

  • Analytical thinking and systematic problem-solving approach

  • Collaborative mindset for cross-functional team environments

  • Portfolio required — showcasing case studies that highlight your product thinking, process, and final outcomes
