Product Designer - Acquisition

SpainHybridSenior

We’re looking for a curious, impact-driven Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of Skyscanner’s landing page experiences — playing a key role in how we acquire new travellers and help them discover and start their journeys with us.

This is an end-to-end, product-connected role that sits at the intersection of content, product experience, and commercial outcomes. You’ll work within a cross-functional team focused on helping millions of travellers explore the world through high-performing, content-rich experiences that answer real user questions and inspire their next trip.

A core part of the opportunity is evolving how Acquisition works within our Explore experience, helping travellers “discover the undiscovered” — with design that’s grounded in product thinking, experimentation, and measurable impact.

As AI reshapes how people search and discover, you’ll help define how Skyscanner shows up in that landscape — creating meaningful journeys that go beyond basic answers, perform strongly across search and AI-driven discovery surfaces, and feel genuinely useful (not just… technically correct).

Over time, this could mean deeper end-to-end ownership within Acquisition or a broader role across our strategy, team and ways of working continue to evolve.

What you'll be doing

  • Designing across key surfaces: You’ll create high-quality, content-rich experiences across product vertical pages (Flights, Hotels, Car Hire, Packages), Destination Hubs, editorial and campaign landing pages.

  • Evolving our visual language: You’ll help build and refine the look and feel that powers our content experiences — making it scalable, expressive, and consistently very Skyscanner.

  • Balancing art and algorithms: You’ll juggle search performance, content clarity, accessibility, and user needs — without breaking a sweat (okay, maybe a tiny sweat).

  • Owning the end-to-end process: You’ll lead from problem framing and ideation through to prototyping, testing, refinement, and final delivery.

  • Partnering cross-functionally: You’ll collaborate with design, marketing, content design, product, and engineering to deliver insight-driven solutions that move the needle.

  • Using evidence like a pro: You’ll work with user research, SEO analysis and behavioural data to understand intent, validate decisions, and iterate based on what’s actually working.

  • Future-proofing discovery: You’ll anticipate shifts in Acquisition — including AI-generated results and conversational search — and help shape how our landing pages adapt and thrive.

About you

  • Craft-led and cross-platform: You’re a strong individual contributor with proven experience designing cross-platform experiences, ideally in content-rich environments (agency and/or in-house).

  • AI-curious (not AI-panicked): You’re excited by the challenge of designing in a world shaped by emerging AI technologies — and you’re keen to explore new ways of working.

  • Strong interaction and visual design: You bring excellent design craft and fluency in tools like Figma, Miro, and modern prototyping tools.

  • Confidently collaborative: You thrive in multidisciplinary teams and work smoothly with engineers, product managers, marketers, brand designers and content strategists.

  • Test-and-learn minded: You’ve used A/B testing, user research and analytics to inform decisions — and you love iterating based on performance.

  • Systems savvy: You have experience contributing to design systems and scalable component libraries that keep quality high and chaos low.

  • Portfolio with proof: Your portfolio shows best-in-class work and your thinking — from hypothesis through outcomes, including the methods and frameworks you used along the way.
