Mobile Engineer (React Native)- Platform

Lisbon, Portugal.

We’re looking for a high-ownership React Native Mobile Engineer to join our Platform Team, where you’ll help build and scale experiences used daily by tens of thousands to millions of users. If you love crafting polished mobile products, care deeply about performance, and thrive in a fast-moving environment, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, build, and scale high-performance mobile apps using React Native & Expo for iOS and Android.

• Own mobile features end-to-end from early product discussions and architecture to launch, iteration, and long-term maintenance.

• Build data-heavy, deeply nested UIs that remain fast, responsive, and delightful at scale.

• Develop and improve audio playback and recording experiences used in real-world customer workflows.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences.

• Debug, optimize, and ship improvements rapidly when things break, users notice, and so do we.

• Make pragmatic, data-driven engineering decisions that balance performance, maintainability, and speed.

• Raise the bar for mobile architecture, code quality, and overall user experience.

• Contribute beyond mobile when needed; there are opportunities to collaborate with cross-engineering teams and impact other parts of the platform.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience shipping mobile apps to the App Store / Play Store with 10K+ active users.

• Deep expertise in React Native, with a strong understanding of mobile-specific constraints and performance trade-offs.

• Experience with audio playback, recording, or real-time media is a strong plus.

• Strong grasp of performance optimization, memory usage, and smooth animations.

• Solid architectural instincts, you care about scalability, clean abstractions, and long-term flexibility.

• A customer-first mindset: bugs, edge cases, and UX papercuts matter to you.

• Comfortable working in a fast-growing, high-ownership startup environment.

• Logical problem-solver who prefers robust, future-proof solutions over quick hacks.

• Bonus: Experience working directly with native mobile codebases (Swift / Kotlin).
