Lead Technical Artist (Unity, C#)
Remote (except Russia, Belarus)
We’re looking for a tech wizard — a graphics, simulation, and rendering guru.
If you love squeezing every drop of FPS and visual beauty out of a scene packed with millions of particles, fire, water, glass, and fully destructible environments — you’re our person.
You know exactly how light should fall, how reflections should stay smooth, and how to keep shaders from murdering performance.
What you’ll be doing
Lead the technical art direction of the project — from VFX to UI and animation.
Develop and integrate shaders, render features, and the entire graphics pipeline (Unity, C#, URP).
Configure and optimize lighting, reflections, and shadows — always with cross-platform performance in mind.
Optimize rendering, framerate, memory usage, assets, audio, animations, and UI.
Build tools and automation for artists, animators, VFX, and UI teams.
Implement solutions for LOD, BRG, instancing, and memory management.
Collaborate closely with programmers and game designers.
Build and grow the team’s technical art expertise.
Requirements
5+ years of experience with Unity and C#.
Experience in multiplayer projects, ideally shooters.
Deep understanding of rendering, lighting, reflections, and post-processing.
Strong shader skills (Shader Graph / HLSL) and GPU/CPU profiling.
Experience with particle systems, fluids, smoke, and destruction effects.
Skilled in optimizing VFX, UI, audio, and animations.
Experience building internal tools for art teams.
Proven track record with mobile, consoles, and handhelds (Steam Deck, Switch, etc.).
Strong communication skills, initiative, and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
A GitHub portfolio or sample work is a big plus.
What we offer:
Official employment according to the Labor Code of Armenia or Cyprus, or a remote work contract.
Flexibility in choosing the workplace: remote work or visiting offices in Armenia or Cyprus as desired.
Relocation package and assistance with obtaining residence permits in Armenia, including for family members.
21 working days of vacation, 3 additional days off per year, and sick leave compensation up to 100%.
Comprehensive Health Insurance from the first working day in Armenia or Cyprus.
Professional Development Support: course, conferences, and opportunities to participate in department workshops and masterclasses.
Corporate online and offline events and presents for various holidays.
