Head of Data & Automation

Appodeal is looking for a Head of Data & Automation to build and lead the data, analytics, and automation capabilities powering our mobile gaming business. This role sits at the intersection of product, monetization, growth (UA), and engineering, ensuring that the company operates on accurate, unified data and that teams can make fast, informed decisions. You will own the evolution of our data ecosystem, predictive modeling (including LTV), and automation systems, while integrating AI to accelerate internal processes and decision-making. Your work will directly impact how effectively we scale our portfolio of ad-monetized mobile games.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Ecosystem Ownership: Own and evolve the company’s data infrastructure and analytics ecosystem across BI tools, attribution platforms, monetization analytics, and internal dashboards. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment of data across all systems. Establish and maintain a single source of truth for key business metrics. Audit and improve data pipelines, tracking, and integrations across all services and tools.

• Predictive Modeling & Forecasting: Own and develop the company’s predictive LTV models used across UA, product, and monetization teams. Continuously improve forecasting models for revenue, retention, and monetization performance. Ensure models are robust, interpretable, and embedded into decision-making workflows.

• Automation & Operational Efficiency: Identify manual or inefficient processes and drive automation across teams (analytics, reporting, campaign monitoring, diagnostics). Build scalable systems that reduce operational overhead and improve speed of execution. Partner with engineering to implement reliable and scalable automation frameworks.

• Insights & Business Impact: Analyze product and business performance to generate actionable insights for product, monetization, and UA teams. Work closely with stakeholders to diagnose performance issues, validate hypotheses, and identify growth opportunities. Translate complex data into clear recommendations for leadership and teams.

• AI-Driven Workflows: Identify opportunities to apply AI to internal processes and analytics workflows. Implement AI tools and agents for automated analysis, reporting, and experimentation diagnostics. Continuously explore and integrate emerging AI capabilities into the data infrastructure.

• Enabling Fast Decision-Making: Design systems that allow teams to quickly test hypotheses and evaluate results. Ensure real-time visibility into key metrics and performance drivers. Support leadership with high-quality data insights for strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Strong experience in data analytics, data science, or data engineering in a tech, gaming, or digital product company.

• Proven track record of building and maintaining complex data ecosystems integrating multiple platforms.

• Experience developing predictive models, особенно LTV и revenue forecasting.

• Strong understanding of product, monetization, and growth (UA) analytics.

• Experience building automation systems and improving operational efficiency.

• Familiarity with AI tools and frameworks and interest in applying AI to business processes.

Technical Skills

• Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and real-time analytics systems.

• Experience working with BI tools, attribution systems, and large-scale datasets.

• Understanding of ML applications in prediction, segmentation, and optimization.

• (Nice-to-have) Coding experience in Python, SQL, or backend languages.
