Head of Business Analysis

As a Head of Business Analysis at Mercuryo, your mission is to establish and scale business analysis practices that drive seamless integration of new payment, KYC, crypto-liquidity, and risk management solutions. You will take ownership of defining how business documentation is structured, maintained, and approved, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to up-to-date, well-organized product information. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize communication channels and knowledge-sharing processes.

 

Your Role:

  • Define and optimize internal business analysis processes, including documentation approval workflows and knowledge management best practices.

  • Establish efficient communication channels between product, engineering, compliance, and business development teams to ensure alignment on key business requirements.

  • Define best practices for structuring output documents, ensure documentation is properly formatted and stored in the right locations (e.g., Confluence), and keep product information up to date.

  • Lead the collection, organization, and documentation of business requirements for new integrations, features, and processes.

  • Review and interpret third-party API documentation and create integration schemes to support new partnerships.

  • Work closely with system analysts, product teams, engineering, and key partners to ensure clear expectations and well-documented processes.

  • Monitor key business metrics to refine internal workflows and improve operational efficiency.

  • Support and mentor business analysts within the team, fostering a culture of structured problem-solving and continuous improvement.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven ability to set up and maintain documentation approval processes, define communication workflows, and standardize output documentation.

  • Experience structuring business documentation in platforms like Confluence and ensuring product-related information is kept up to date.

  • Strong ability to bridge gaps between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment on key objectives and information flows.

  • Proficiency in reading API documentation and understanding integration requirements.

  • Ability to break down complex business problems, structure documentation effectively, and ensure clarity across teams.

  • Ability to coordinate discussions between multiple teams and drive consensus on business requirements.

  • Previous work in fintech, payments, or a related sector is a must.

  • Ability to read and understand code is a plus.
