Funds Operations Manager
Role overview
We are looking for a Funds Operations Manager to own and drive the operational set-up and ongoing administration of our fund platform. The role will focus on maintaining and enhancing an existing Cayman fund structure while also launching dedicated mutual funds under our license across digital assets, real estate, and financial instruments. You will be the key operational counterpart to internal stakeholders and external service providers (legal, audit, compliance, administrators, custodians, banks, regulators), ensuring funds are launched efficiently and run smoothly.
Key responsibilities
Existing structure / BAU operations (Cayman)
Maintain and enhance the existing Cayman fund structure, ensuring operational continuity and best-practice governance.
Oversee day-to-day fund operational processes, including key service provider coordination and issue resolution.
Maintain fund documentation and operational records (corporate documents, agreements, registers, filings, policies).
Support ongoing obligations: board support, reporting calendars, annual filings, audits, and operational checklists.
New fund launches (Mutual funds under license)
Lead end-to-end operational launch of new mutual funds in digital assets, real estate, and financial instruments, including:
operational design (target operating model, workflows, controls, SLAs)
onboarding and coordination of service providers (administrator, custodian, prime broker, transfer agent, paying agent, valuation agents, etc.)
readiness for subscriptions/redemptions, NAV production, pricing/valuation, and investor reporting
Coordinate project plans, timelines, dependencies, and go-live checklists across stakeholders.
Counterparty & stakeholder management
Ensure effective counterparty communications and relationship management with: legal counsel, auditors, compliance, fund administrators, local regulators, and other third parties.
Act as the operational owner for service provider performance, ensuring deliverables are on time and issues are tracked to closure.
Support and coordinate regulatory interactions and responses in partnership with Compliance/Legal.
Banking and third-party set-up
Own and assist with opening fund and management company bank accounts, including KYC/AML packs and ongoing bank requests.
Support the selection, onboarding, and management of third parties necessary for fund operations (custody, fund admin, audit, legal, AML officer, valuation, brokers/exchanges, etc.).
Ensure controls are in place for cash management, payment approvals, and segregation of duties.
Fund Manager / management company set-up
Support the set-up of the Fund Manager (management company) operationally, including required agreements, delegation frameworks, policies, and internal controls.
Coordinate operational processes between the Fund Manager and each fund (fees, expenses, reporting, oversight).
Documentation & reporting
Prepare and coordinate documentation packs for investors and regulators, such as:
offering documentation support (in coordination with Legal)
subscription/redemption materials and investor disclosures
operational due diligence (ODD) questionnaires and data rooms
regulatory filings and responses (with Compliance/Legal)
Produce and maintain internal operational reports: launch dashboards, risk/issue logs, service provider scorecards.
Marketing and distribution support
Support preparation and review of marketing materials (factsheets, pitch decks, operational sections, disclosures), ensuring consistency with offering documents and regulatory requirements (in coordination with Compliance).
What you’ll bring (requirements)
Experience & knowledge
5+ years (guideline) in fund operations / fund administration / asset management operations (fund platform, administrator, or asset manager).
Hands-on experience with fund launches (mutual funds and/or offshore structures such as Cayman).
Strong understanding of fund operating models: subscriptions/redemptions, NAV oversight, valuation, cash/treasury, fee calculations, expense management, service provider oversight.
Familiarity with regulated fund environments and working with regulators and compliance frameworks (AML/KYC, investor onboarding, disclosure processes).
Exposure to at least one of the following is strongly preferred: digital assets, real estate funds, listed/OTC financial instruments.
Skills
Strong project management capability (multi-party launches, timelines, documentation control).
Excellent stakeholder communication and vendor management.
Detail-oriented, process-driven, strong ownership mentality.
Ability to work comfortably with legal/compliance language and documentation workflows.
Education / certifications (preferred)
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Law, or similar.
Professional qualifications (CA/ACCA/CFA/FRM) are a plus.
