Founding GenAI Engineer

Location: Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪 / Remote, Europe 🌍

We're looking for a Founding GenAI Engineer to build image and video generation pipelines and AI workflows at scale. You'll work directly with the founders, own core systems, get early employee equity, and help shape both the product and company from day one.

About Spiral 🌀

Spiral is an AI growth engine that helps mobile advertisers scale profitably with paid ads.

In the future, ads won’t be static media slots. They’ll be dynamic experiences. Spiral is the creative performance layer for the future of paid advertising. Built on top of major ad platforms and with performance data as foundation, we turn creative generation and ad automation into one system.

Launched in September 2025, already working with major European apps and helping them scale on Meta Ads. Marketing teams use Spiral to research competitors, analyze creatives, and launch top-performing AI ads.

Team

• As for now, the team consists only of 2 co-founders. We are looking to hire first 3-4 team members in early 2026.

• Sasha, CEO, has 7 years in mobile growth, UA at at The Coach, Prisma Labs, ivi and Joom. ex-CMO at Vocal Image (AI Communication Coach app), grew ARR from $0.7M to $9M in 2 years by profitably scaling paid ads.

• Filip, CTO, has a master's in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Amsterdam. ex-AI Tech Lead at Nodestar, 8 years of experience building for both mobile games and B2B SaaS.

Who we’re looking for

• You're an engineer who gets excited about turning cutting-edge AI into real products that people use every day. You've built projects with GenAI at high velocity. You understand that great AI products aren't just about models, they're about workflows, prompts, infrastructure, and the feedback loops that make them better.

• You want to see results of your work in days, not months, and iterate on user feedback. You've incorporated AI into your own workflow and are excited about building agent-ready systems that maximize velocity without compromising quality.

• You're naturally curious and self-sufficient. And you want to be early, with real ownership over the product and the team as the company scales.

Requirements

• Very comfortable with React, NextJS, Python.

• You've built and launched full-stack projects from scratch.

• Strong foundation in AI/ML (model fine-tuning, training, deployment).

• Comfortable working with GPU infrastructure and optimization.

• Hands-on experience with image/video generation models.

• High autonomy, you can ship solutions without hand-holding.

• Startup experience is preferred, but not necessary.

• Fluent in English.

What the job looks like

• Building image/video pipelines for large volumes of data.

• Implementing image/video analysis algorithms efficiently, at scale.

• Building, managing and maintaining AI/ML workflows running on GPUs.

• Setting up dev tools, writing automations and managing AI agents for rapid development.

• Building agentic workflows with LangGraph.

• Feature and prompt engineering.

• Identify the highest impact areas and focus your time there.

Location

• We are open to remote candidates in Europe. Berlin based candidates, or candidates who are open to relocating, are preferred.
