DWH Team Lead

About the Role

Renmoney is seeking an experienced DWH Team Lead to drive the development, governance, and evolution of our enterprise Data Warehouse (DWH) platform. In this role, you will lead a cross-functional data team and serve as the central point of accountability for delivering a trusted, unified, and timely source of truth across the organization. You will partner closely with stakeholders in Decision Science, Risk Management, Collections, Marketing, Sales, Savings, and other business units to enable fast, reliable, and data-driven decision-making at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the DWH vision, data governance strategy, and long-term architectural roadmap in alignment with business objectives.

• Design and oversee the implementation of scalable DWH architecture, including Data Lake, ODS, and semantic layers.

• Lead the development of robust ETL/ELT pipelines and real-time data integration solutions.

• Establish and enforce data quality standards, monitoring frameworks, and SLAs for data availability, accuracy, and consistency.

• Mentor BI developers and promote self-service analytics through intuitive dashboards (e.g., Power BI) and documentation.

• Recruit, onboard, and mentor data engineers and analysts; foster a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence.

• Maintain team knowledge base (Confluence), enforce coding and documentation standards, and facilitate agile ceremonies (Scrum).

• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (Master’s degree preferred).

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics, or DWH development—with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior technical role.

• Proven track record designing and implementing enterprise-grade data warehouse architectures and ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Advanced SQL expertise across multiple dialects; strong programming skills in Python and experience with PySpark or other distributed computing frameworks.

• Solid experience with cloud data platforms (AWS preferred)—including services like S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, or similar.

• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining data quality frameworks, monitoring tools, and alerting systems.

• Proficiency with BI tools (Power BI strongly preferred); experience enabling self-service analytics is a plus.

• Experience in banking, fintech, or regulated financial services is highly advantageous.

• Strong leadership capabilities: able to manage remote/hybrid teams, drive accountability, and cultivate a collaborative engineering culture.
